You said the waveguide was a one-way transmission line, is that purely because there are emitters at one end and receivers at the other end? But if a photon is partially reflected back from the detector to the emitter would it perhaps interfere?

If the Oxford philosopher P.F. Strawson is right that things sensed are mentally acquired one way (causally) in direct sensory interaction and become reformulated in developed reflection, in the first case (material content) what is seen is observer independent and world relative and in reflection are observer relative as observer related in the form of "objects", i.e., as individuated as "person concerning", then two realisms coexist in a mature experience: a personalized experience formed as common sense and scientific realism which leaves out the point of view (localized) of the person and the phenomena of subjective personal concern in order to only consider "thing space objects" of worldly particulars (abstracted from the duality of mind-body experience so as to explore worldly matter beyond the objects of concern of an observer. Dualism, and, thus, skepticism, is avoided by recognizing that observable things are material and always the same no matter the form while formed things have no matter of their own. Experience is a learned and applied transformative activity of on-going individuating. Strawson, on such grounds as these claims common sense reality and scientific reality are purpose-given formalizations of experience expressing different perceived concerns of a vulnerable sentient being in a dangerous world of things (particulars) subject to the harsh economies of energy. In both cases, individuals care in different practical ways about contingent content-materiality. By stipulation, the world doesn't care a bit about being cared about. Refs for Strawson: "Perception and it s objects" the first three chapters of "Individuals," and "Bounds of Sense."

Hello! thank for your help and support, my question is that, what are the requirement for getting Ph.D. in computer science with support of associated research program. and what tips improve the chance of my acceptance. what are the other ways to fund the progress rather than associated researchship. hope you reply soon. thanks to you.

Why are you taunting me? The internet runs on fiber optics. Bleh, I can't get fiber in my neighborhood, just old fashioned copper wires with 25-50 Mbps transfer rates. Just 10 minutes walk away there is 10Gbps fiber offered to all residents. Can I tell the telecoms people that quantum computing internet is a human right and they need to give me direct access to fiber?

basically there is more entanglement that can pass through the system. the photons build into a field and then the varying pulses of light are able to be translated into an energy field that can respond to the entanglement and then vibrate that energy down the given wire to the intended system.
@helicalactual

so, it's a translation problem.

so when you generate an artificially entangled system, its very difficult to keep out the "noise" or interference. if the quantum computers are sensitive to other entities or entanglement structures, then other entanglement structures such as another quantum computer requiring thermo-dynamic stability that would generate a lot of waste heat and energy, manifesting a decoherence problem thusly thinning the entanglement for all computers. much like heat from CPU processors, but instead of heat, it's because entanglement is fragile and so thermodynamically expensive to maintain artificial entanglement. as a result, very difficult to get the systems to "speak to one another".

Important expansion in the field of physics. Everyone should have a look at the Navy Hybrid Aerial Underwater Craft (read UFO) patents by aerospace engineer and inventor Salvatore Pais. Using Macroscopic Quantum Coherence using plasma resonant frequency fields to access the energy densities (~10²⁵ joules/ meter²) by polarizing the local vacuum field using Argon gas in a resonant chamber vibrated by Microwaves at 3.3 Ghz until polarizing the local vacuum field to macroscopic Quantum Coherence when the Resonant Plasma Frequency is achieved. Goto Google patents and search Salvatore Pais The patents are real and Brett Tingley did several good articles where he proved the validity of the patents and the tech bosses at the Navy fully backing it. Also includes room temperature superconductors patent using piezo-electrics

As a small correction: on slide 28 the "Goldilocks regime" is introduced as kappa = 2*g. It also says that in the arXiv paper, but that was due to a small error in an calculation. It was corrected later in the nature paper. Not sure why it is still wrong in 2022 conference

A notation in itself does not convey any meaning to the audience. So it could be better to explain the interplay between ideas first, then introduce the symbols. It's more explaining that way I think.

I love these videos (Dialogues on the Foundations). It's fun to listen to during long summer evenings. As a side note, it's interesting to see people refer to Einstein's relativity theory as "classical". I thought classical gravity was Newton's. But I guess profs Liberati and Oriti are several levels above that so that they consider Einstein's theories "classical".
@stefano3346

usually when physicists say ''classical'' they refer to no quantum-theories, like Einstein's general relativity.
