I am very interested in a trip London, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Would love to explore spiritual sites to museums, shows, cultural events, castles, history etc. I was thinking one week or so for each country but wasn’t sure. Do you have recommendation?

I would suggest combining our London-Scotland-Ireland itinerary (www.theworldwasherefirst.com/london-scotland-ireland-itinerary/) with our Wales itinerary (www.theworldwasherefirst.com/wales-itinerary/)

We will be in Naples from cruise ship, limited time, only 10-11 hours to spare. We are tour between tour A: Ravello, Sorrento and Amalfi or Tour B: Ravello, Positano and Amalfi. Tour is by private car for 3 person with 1 having mobility issues. Which do you think is the best? Tour A or Tour B?

Hi :-) I’m interested in a two week trip to Italy. I’ve seen some itineraries that hit all of the main areas, which would probably be advisable with it being my first time there. I am a solo traveler. The Amalfi coast has been on my bucket list for years and I of course want to see the same wonderful ruins that I saw in Athens. I’ve found some wonderful itineraries where you are someplace with an average of two days. Usually, I stay one or two places for my two week vacations, but it just seems like there’s so much to see in Italy that I want to do - - all of the pictures we all have seen of the gondolas and the coast and the ruins and the cities and the food. My main question is, not including flights, would I be able to comfortably explore Italy on $5000 for 12 or 14 days? if you have an email where we could chat, I didn’t see one here, so that’s why I posted. Thank you.

Stayed in Sorrento for 8 days in April, 2024. The train from Naples to Sorrento was generally very crowed and a little challenge with luggage. Had read it wasn’t safe, but I never had any problems and lots of locals on the train who were very helpful. The train station required cash to purchase a ticket. Small bills are easier in making change when you don’t speak Italian. The Viaggi bus from Sorrento train station to Naples airport ( also runs from the airport to Sorrento )was very convenient and easier when traveling with luggage . Longer than the train but very scenic ( took 2 hours from Sorrento). I enjoyed Sorrento and had multiple days trips to Capri, Amalfi coast, Pompeii and Naples. There is an elevator to take you down to the level of the main port in Sorrento . Costs 1.20 euro. There are also stairs.

i am going to only like 5 days I am afraid, thinking to skip Naples but to Amalfi coast, capri, pompeii and Ravello. do you suggest to stay in one place rathan than change the accomodation?
@warrenphelps53427 ай бұрын
@@Claire-du2ht Not a professional, but I opted for Sorrento as my base since I knew I wanted to make multiple day trips-Capri, Pompeii, Naples and the Amalfi coast. Used public transportation-ferries and the train except when returning to the Naples Airport from Sorrento-used the Curreri Viaggi bus. In looking at prices for hotels/lodging I aso selected Sorrento. I did go in April and I know prices do change with high season months.

This is good news. I visited another site on KZbin & was told it would be about $185/night per accommodation. Guess some people are high maintenance...

I would say that's on quite the high end of average in our experience. But prices can vary widely from region to region and season to season :)

Great video. We are planning our first trip to Amalfi Coast. My question is that if we take the bus from Naples to Amalfi, which areas should we look to stay in Sorrento, Poscitano and Amalfi since we don’t want to live away from a touristy place. Kindly advise

I live in a town called Falkirk, just next to Stirling you can rent a house for a week here for the same price as a couple of days in some Edinburgh hotels and its a 30/40 minute journey from Glasgow and Edinburgh, with the "Gateway to the highlands" a few miles to the north. Edinburgh is a tourist city. Lots of places like this if its the country you want to see, not just the tourist bits.

Hotels are poor value for money in Edinburgh. Eating out similar to London prices. Overall as expensive as London.

Ah no, skip Dublin. Fly Edinburgh to Shannon in Clare. 1 hour north is Galway, Cliffs of Moher, etc. 2 hours south west you have the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney, etc. 3 hours south you've west Cork.

The accommodation and transport costs were calculated assuming you're splitting the cost between two people. Obviously, the cost per person will be lower if split between four.
