Production isn't cheap. This isn't a guy with a pair of scissors, machines need to be watched, maintenanced, replaced occasionally. QC is another factor. Cards are definitely more expensive than they should be but thats more on the corporate side because they are greedy and limiting prints (looking at you Wizards of the Coast). Flesh and Blood does a pretty good job with having limited runs and unlimited runs that get reprinted as demand requires. For those that want expensive cards just to flex they have their market, and for those who just want cards to play are covered too.

Question: what is in the Harbinger expansion in the highest support tier? Are we talking about the modern Harbingers from the TCG? Are there also models of the Harbingers, or just acrylic standees? Is it just the four Harbies from Set 2, or might we see some non-Harbies from the TCG join in? And does the Harbinger expansion offer any substantial change to the base game? (Special scenarios, different game modes, new core rules, complexity spikes, potential retrains of base set characters...)

Great question! The Harbinger Contender Expansion Pack comes in the Top Tier (Tier 3) but is also an add-on that you can purchase outside of the tier as well. It contains the modern day Harbingers which includes 4x Contender cards, 4x Acrylic Standees, and 4x Miniatures. The expansion pack will come with a rulebook for how best to incorporate the Harbingers as they will add depth to the roster with new gameplay advantages and tactics. Nothing overly complex, just more awesome exclusive characters to enjoy!
