U have give credit to credit to Bill, he is a die hard Celtics fan, but still has hugh amount of respect for Duncan. Even though they were jilted by the alter. But still what if, Duncan was a Celtic they had two loteey draft picks, they could've had Duncan and McGrady that would be wild.

I agree with the praise for Timmy but the "he's not boring - he's winning" argument doesn't do it for me... there is a reason 2003 and 2005 and 2007 finals had the lowest possible ratings, it was boring, low-scoring basketball. Later on they revamped it in 2012-15 and played some beautiful offensive basketball, but I find it funny how people are since 2013 or 2014 all on board the "Spurs are awesome!" bandwagon whereas before they just didn't care for them and hoped they could see the Lakers or some other exciting team in the finals. The "Timmy doesn't do anything, doesn't give his opinions and is closed off in interviews" isn't fun. It's boring. His game looks boring. It is efficient as hell but...... If every player was like that we would shoot ourselves in the head and switch to watching Euroleague or I dunno... soccer. So there is a reason why people criticize Timmy and it is not for the basketball reasons. Funny how his copycat Kawhi was exactly the same and got all the praise for all the wrong reasons - "he is not showboating, he's awesome!" - although Timmy has at least shown signs of comedy/spirit/pranking - Kawhi has none and is a terrible teammate. And managed to betray the Spurs which is funny

Shaq idolized Dr. J. So imagine his pain when his idol is sitting right next to him saying Tim Duncan was his favorite player. Explains why Shaq is always taking shots at Duncan.

Spurs fan from year One I kid you not....thee greatest shot I've ever witnessed was the result of a man in Silver and Black going for a loose ball in thee very corner of the court. Off Balance and fighting centrifugal force he grabs the ball and looks over his right shoulder. He gets a bearing and launches a shot....FROM BEHIND THE RIM IN THE CORNER OF THE COURT..... NOTHING BUT NET ! THE MAN IN QUESTION WAS THE MAN TO LEAD THE LEAGUE IN SCORING TWO YEARS IN A ROW AND THEN THREE YEARS IN A ROW. The Ice-Man George Gervin. Forty Fo and there was so much mo !

Sergio Zavaleta Because KG’s 1 championship is almost as much as Duncan’s 5 right?
@marco50304 жыл бұрын
@@Armando_Brown32 because McCaw is a better player than Barkley was? Duncan wasn't winning rings in Garnett's shoes, they had awful talent and coaching, devastating injuries/luck, and KG did great in the few years he had with good teammates. There are obviously many good arguments for why Duncan was better than Garnett, I personally think Duncan just barely edges out KG, but rings is just a dumb argument, swap their situations and in all likelihood KG's the one with more rings.
@Johnsonluvsyomom5 ай бұрын
@marco5030 Tim Duncan is more complete than Garnett. KG wouldn't win 5 rings like Duncan even if you they switched teams

The 2004 Lakers were still better than the Spurs so that one doesnt haunt me as a lifelong Spurs fan.....but the two that despite all the success will always haunt my dreams is 2006 and 2013...We were clearly the best team that year...should have been 7 rings and counting.....that being said I am so proud of the Spurs...they are the epitomy of what a true team is.
