I can count on one hand the number of idols in this current era that have expressed interest in fashion and are actually experimenting with their style and being creative. These ambassadorships tho are random like riize and lsf with lv and riize although are growing barely debuted at the time, and lsf doesn’t fit the aesthetic, well neither do but just why. Illit at fashion week was just random, like congrats to all these groups but what is it even achieving. And most of the groups now are just being dressed by their stylist if we’re being honest, very few actually work with them to create a cohesive look

There’s this industry narrative to push them in spaces of visibility but there’s no context or foundation of why they’re in those spaces. They just get a deal and run with it. Granted I have no interest in saying idols aren’t good enough to be fashionistas. But there’s truth to the fact ambassadorships intended to maximize visibility with 0 effectiveness on their audience besides they’re pretty or my fav has an endorsement.

GD is an innovator remember that. He starts the trends he does not follow them. In regards to taeyang I think his team lead him astray. He should have never collab with Jimin. I know why he did it but it wasn’t him. Imo it lead og fans like myself was turned off by that and the song bc it wasn’t anything special. The marketing was just all off on that comeback but I think if he sticks to being himself his next comeback will be better.

I seem to recall Taemin saying in an interview that he was drawn into dance and performance because he saw MJ's Smooth Criminal video when he was very young. I am not much younger than MJ, and so I had the thrill (no pun intended) of growing up on his music. MJ was my ult and so I'm well versed in style and dance moves. You can clearly see MJ's influence on Taemin in many of Taemin's MVs, especially in Criminal. Yet Taemin (my ult) is uniquely himself, and he is at the top in K-Pop as he should be. You sum it up well. Thanks for your video.

whether they’re a dance or vocal group they should be able to carry a tune, no one’s expecting them to be exo level but to sing their song without sounding awful isn’t too much of an ask. Of course hybe also shouldn’t given them a song out of their range bc how did they not realise this when recording the song backing track/lip syncing can only go so far. I guess it was to hop on a trending sound to get them a hit which worked I guess cause congrats to them for the bb100. Criticism is okay but outright hate and vile stuff I’ve seen is so unwarranted. Hopefully this don’t happen to them next comeback to bc after unforgiven and now easy, we don’t wanna go 3 for 3.

GD no longer has to prove himself to anyone, because his status in K-Pop and throughout the world is more than irreplaceable entrenched. This man is a pioneer, guiding light and compass of K-Pop. Throughout his entire career his groundbreaking and innovative ambitious ideas have become an integral part of the music industry. GD is a living legend… a divine visionary of his era whose unquenchable passion is reflected not only in his music but also in his fascinating sense of fashion. His achievements are made for eternity, his significant traces are limitless inspiration for future generations… and his music is his life‘s work and at the same time an impressive monument of his avant-garde ingeniousness and immortal legacy for the world. Nobody can get past GD! With this incredible level of proven facts as an artist, what else is there to say? ❤️

Solid analysis and commentary. There's no disputing GD's artistic talent and influence on Kpop but the longer he's away from the music scene the less relevance he has in connection to today's music trends, especially when there's a lot of new talent on the scene. Certainly, he still garners a lot of attention from fans due to his celebrity status and partnerships with high profile global brands but it's not musically related. There's also the risk of high expectations for if and when he does release an album that it may disappoint due to not living up to expectations.

GD is King of Kpop and I look forward to anything he puts out. I think the biggest thing to remember is that he is not this "boy band" type of artist and people who are looking for that type of genre will not find it in anything he comes out with. GD broke the Kpop mold along time ago. Although he has had a lot of other interests of late, whatever music he drops will be listened to and taken seriously - his talent and performance level is INSANE. Thanks for putting together his video.

He is a hip hop pretender with meaningless dated recycled construction noises. He is no genius or whatever thing you are presenting him to be. He stole the lightsticks from Japanese idol system. Nothing original in his bone ever. He was overhyped and media played to the max. And some of the things you mentioned in here is media play and not real at all about his group. YG is a master in media play. And making Instagram models famous. Not to mention a druggie. People do not listen to meaningless dated recycled construction noises anymore. Most of gp nowadays wants real artists that make relatable music. And media play does not work anymore. Teddy Park is behind all these lound noises that are noise pollution. He will never be successful. Although you are correct in one thing. He and his group are solely responsible for all the negative stereotypes in idol industry. Thank God my faves indeed paved the way and this clown did not influence their music in any way whatsoever.

@@pennybleta9721 I wouldn’t say it wasn’t impressive considering his level of stage command as a solo individual on a stage was equal to a group of people. YG media play and overhype is a valid statement bc they’re still using till this day. But I don’t think that applies to him in particular

When I say they overhyped and media played this dude to be some kind of god when he only looks like a weirdo in every stage performance and mv. And he has some ego and is full of himself. @@wdcomments They are criminals but not even close to musical artists. What persona are you talking about? He is as arrogant a clown as YG is. Medium 3 build whole careers for mediocre nobodies who were nothing without them. That's their job. The GP only in Korea is brainwashed by the media play of YG to see him as a "GOD". He has a god complex and narcissistic personality. Kpoppies call every weird and garbage shit their faves throw at them experimental these days. It's construction noise and weirdos being free to be the weirdos they wanted to be. Pretender is not subjective at all. They have no clue about the hip hop culture they used it as aesthetic as most idol rappers they have no clue about it they don't pay homage to it or know anything about it because they think in that company just like their fans that hip hop is being cool and swag and doing every day things. At least the airhead models in that company that is their latest gg admitted it in their interviews. They had the only guts to do this. Thank God I stan a group that had mentors legends of rap and know about the hip hop culture and it's history. And know to talk about it in interviews without embarrassing themselves with saying nonsense and exposing themselves as rap pretenders like most YG and other idol groups. GD was not held accountable for many things but most of them revolve around his character.
