Excellent video! I hear that you need to look at the target through the loop as you swing the loop in front of your face. At the time you do that, is the front (far from you) part of the loop at the bottom and the back (close to you) part of the rope at the top, or is the opposite?
@7Kroping21 күн бұрын
If you are swinging properly, your loop will only be in your peripheral vision. Deliver from right to left, but aim toward the base of the left horn because there will naturally be more loop out to the right. On big horns like this, hold on to your loop as long as possible before releasing.

Why kind of rope do you use? I use nylon but the loop doesnt keep a circle shape it slacks if that makes sense.

Just got my two little boys ropes up at the rodeo tonight here in Star Valley, WY. Got back to grandma's, and dad couldn't really show them the "ropes"until I looked up how to throw a lasso on KZbin, and your video quickly taught me to deliver, instead of throw! Now I almost can't miss on my kids crawling past me, being my "cows"! I May just be competing in this rodeo next year when we come up again! Haha

Turbo, that's a Darkside rope by Revolution Ropes. Think of the spoke as an extension of your first finger. A longer spoke can generally give you a little more control over the swing and delivery of your loop.

It is just as stable if not more stable than the bones or the jakesteer. It has a larger platform on the front end and a lower center of gravity, allowing us to make it light and stable.
@658firefighter12 жыл бұрын
how is the stability compared to the bones does the dummy tip over easily or is it stable??
