Yasmin finds out about Lucas plagiarizing Maya's work and covers for him, which ultimately leads to Maya's suicide. Safi writes a book which exposes this, which Gwen helps publish, but Yasmin forces its cancellation after reading a manuscript of it. Lucas later learns Yasmin is behind the decision and reveals this to Safi, which causes her to have a mental breakdown. Max can still jump through time using Polaroids, but it's unknown if her rewind powers have returned or if she still can hop into other realities anymore. The game was setting up 2-3 part story that might never be resolved now due to the mixed reception. Safi might be written out of the story, or they might just do a remake of the original Life is Strange at this point.

He was a coward only in it to save his own skin. If he didn't die sooner he'd have died reluctantly going to the raid later on in the game in James place.
