Thanks for the Review mate. For me, I'm just still waiting for: - Modern and nice looking SDK-Browser with 4K-Monitor support - Modern Editor UI with 4K support and icons, that do not hurt my eyes - GUI-EDITOR like the one of Unity. We are waiting like 100 years for this - Splines, as shown on this video - Asset store that finally works and where you can sell your works - simply all that stuff that you need for game development.

Hi! How can i transfer my community project to sim project?
@LazyUnigineDude
@LazyUnigineDude 18 күн бұрын
If you have both editions and you want to transfer this is what you need to do. If you’re c# then highlight everything in the asset browser and right click, export as a package and you’ll have the package which you can just open inside the other edition. For c++ same thing but you also need to copy paste the code in your community source files and paste them into the sim source files
@AmorVim

i think my favourite part of the sim edition is the geodetic pivot, does it break traditional movement logic or is that unclear as of yet?
@LazyUnigineDude
@LazyUnigineDude Ай бұрын
Ooo good question, well by theory pivot makes sense of being a point on world space and then angling based on distance to point and camera, I’ll definitely test it out and see if movement logic gets affected or not

What can I do if my character's capsule collides with the environment and its rotation changes? I tried changing the Angular Scale to 0 when I step on W or S and releasing it when I step on A or D but it's still very unstable and tends to stick weirdly to other Mesh objects.

You can do a few things like rotate based on a value or look at function. Both are nice but lmk what you think

An interesting point that I encountered in version 2.19: getWorldPosition is a Vec3 value, and setWorldPosition takes values of type Vec3. But getWorldDirection is a vec3 value. Yes, the difference is only in the case of the letters. For Vec3, data is written as X,Y,Z, while vec3 writes it as x,y,z. I had to clumsily convert vec3 to Vec3 by setting the Vec3 variable and directly specifying each X,Y,Z value of x,y,z from getWorldDirection.
@LazyUnigineDude
@LazyUnigineDude Ай бұрын
Yes direction doesn’t need a double precision point and if you did float project then your world position would also be a vec3 which is what everyone was used to. But now everyone uses double precision which gives us the freedom to get dvec3 (Vec3)

Even though I am not a programmer I like to watch your videos and learn a little bit more about Unigine. It would be nice to see your work on a game from the scratch, it may even attract more clueless people into the game dev. Whatever you are working on it would be interesting. Also showing your face in videos may appeal more to the audience, people may feel more connected to your channel. I am currently working as 3D artist in Unreal Engine, but I am planning my own project some time in the future. I am not sure if my final work will be in Unigine, but I would definitely like to try. I will probably work on something in-between FPS/TPS, RPG, action, adventure. Semi-open world game maybe. The first thing I would probably try is level design and character movement through it, so whatever I learn it is a great success. Whatever you choose to do I will most probably watch. 🍉🍉🍉

i would like to see a RPG world building/gathering system like Valheim, but including some NPC with quests, as well as a 3D character creation...saving/loading sytem as well as a basic networking setup with free open source. Yeah I am dreaming big, but that is my wish to see :D Keep the contents up and thank you for your service.(it would be nice if Unigine had a game editor system and animation state machine, least easier version)

Hi! I rarely write comments, but I consider it obligatory to do so here. Your content is simply amazing! I gradually began to get involved in gamedev through your videos and I like everything here more and more. The peculiarity of Unigine is that there is little implemented here, but a huge specific functionality (ROS2\landscape etc.) and when you explain some things that are built into other engines by default, you understand much better how to program certain things. I think this is a very useful experience. I want to say thank you for your work! And from the topics of interest to me - I want to get involved in inverse kinematics, especially in conjunction with animations. I dream of writing a character similar to Drake from Uncharted 4, but with a minimum of animations and a large number of procedure animations. (Sorry for my English, not my native language.)
