now imagine attempting to find a job in cybersecurity with no prior IT work experience in these tough times, that's where i stand now, I thought the issue is here in Saudi Arabia but looks like it's global, hopefully things will get better with time just stay positive .

I thought about this recently! The media will not say we are in a global depression, but it sure looks like that. However, there is hope! I've noticed on LinkedIn that people with no portfolios and no githubs seem to have no problem landing jobs due to their ability to network with others. I think the best thing to do is continue learning and focus heavily on networking. The most important thing is not giving up.

Agreed. I think it's great to offer learning opportunities and certifications. It's also good to point out that these certs may be a steppingstone and not necessarily something employers are putting into their job postings.
