Trudi, I understand the need to keep your notes (for me, I think it comes from being a reporter and magazine writer; we need to be able to find that interview we did six years ago for that ONE nugget we must have NOW)! I also am one who MUST be able to move today's "To Do" items to tomorrow. You said you've tried all the organizing systems, but there is a combination of two that I've found useful: Trello + Planyway. Full disclosure: I am in no way associated with either; my techie son suggested Trello AGES ago. I've refined the system to meet my needs, because both apps are so flexible, and they have helped keep me as organized as anyone with ADHD can be!

Happy New Year! I plan with spreadsheets, but bought a paper planner for the first time this year. We'll see how it goes! As for 2025, my goal is to sell paperbacks on my direct store. Best of luck to everyone on their year and their goals!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025. Always love it when you ladies share about your process & writing goals/habits. I have a Life Vision Board which I update as my vision changes. Every year I choose things directly related to my Life Vision to focus on. I find this works better than simply creating a stand-alone annual vision board. I use Sarra Cannon’s method of planning joined with Brian Moran’s 12 Week Year. I prefer a written planner, typically a Franklin Covey or currently a Happy Planner. Whichever planner I use, that pages must be loose so I can reorganize and customize it. I use color coding but write the information in pencil so I can erase it if things change. Options and flexibility are key to my personal planner system. May your New Year be fantastic and your year’s end be most satisfying. 📚❤️

Fellow kiwi here. I'm releasing for the first time in 2025 😊(small town romance). I've written and set aside two books in 2024, and will write another two in 2025 so I can stagger release them semi rapidly over the second half of 2025. Then I'll cross my fingers and toes that I find some sort of readership. Or just be super proud that I achieved the goal i've been working towards for a couple of years 😆

Loved this ladies! All so different but doing what suits you. It's taken me a long time to figure out what works for me and it's still evolving. I think I'm more like Wendy now, where less is more, my brain needs space 😅. I'm finishing my first book to a series this weekend...its taken me so long through illness and recovery but I will finish final edits by Sunday. Releasing in Feb actually feels like a huge kickstart to the year, its definitely psychological lol. Just for the record, not here to start a fight, just stating a fact: There's a difference between a social media AI algorithm or a spellcheck AI algorithm and GENERATIVE AI. It's the latter that many authors are against. It's good to be mindful of how they are not the same things.
