Easier and more efficient if you put the tube where the dipstick is. Also, it will extract more oil as you'll hit the bottom of the sump.

Another great video ! 👍 If I may make a small suggestion: Before taking the spark plug out use an air compressed can to blow around , that way the risk of something ending up in the cylinder , like paint flakes that are coming off the valve cover, is minimized.

Congrats on the car, Arctic White always awesome. ! If I may make couple of comments, as a 30 yrs old owner of a 2.6 Baby: a. the M102 doesn't exactly likes 5W30 or 10W30, for a normal climate 10W40 is recommended, 20W50 if in hot climate like AZ, South FL, etc. b. excellent advice regarding the maintenance but at this stage we are talking about 30+ yrs so rear diff fluid is often forgotten and neglected until it goes so 75W90 service will take care of that. c. lastly since unfortunately the US market officially only got automatic tranny, a service is highly recommended, unless the previous owner was an enthusiast and kept up. Oh, I have a question: how hard was to replace the timing belt? 😁I'm just kidding, I know you meant serpentine belt since the M102 has a timing chain. Keep the videos coming. !

Omg this is so scary why don't you just route the extraction tube down the dip stick? It's safer and goes to the lowest part of the oil pan???

Nice man. I was also thinking K24, because it would sound something like the 2.5 -16, is lightweight plus it has VVTI, which makes it more streetable. I ended up going with a 3.2 M104, because this swap is easyer and cheaper, sounds good and has more power potential. I will use a speeduino standalone ecu wired to the stock ecu plug.

M111 swap is cool, and it's true that it bolts in as far as the engine mounts go, but there's a lot more to it than that. Especially electronics wise it's pretty complicated, so you'd most likely be looking at getting a standalone ecu. The 2,3 single cam is a pretty good engine on its own and doesn't make a lot less power than a non supercharged m111, so keeping the old 2,3 isn't a bad option. I wouldn't put a K&N filter in though, the cheap oem paper replacement actually does a better job filtering and you don't need to clean/oil it.

Nice ride. If you get an oil/fluid extractor and you can suck up all the oil on these cars without getting under the car, that's what I do. But good safety tip to use a tire and piece of wood along with the jack stand.
