Cold start shouldn't be a problem. These trucks are equipped with pre-heater starting aids..Instructions are right on the dash.

I got stuck in a river last year doing that lol. Deuce is just too heavy for mud like that unfortunately. I do recommend ditching the NDTs if youre doing off road fun stuff.

Maybe try in 1st low instead of reverse. Also those NDTs are awful for traction. Nice air intake setup though, never seen one like that before on the m35a2.

How much of a difference is that hx turbo compared to the stock one? I assume its the d turbo

I did 23 years in the Army and drove those in the states and in desert Shield/Storm. Loved driving them. I always say if you can drive one, you can drive anything.

Dude. The Deuce and a half has a turbo that is literally nicknamed the "Whistler". Because it had two turbo options. One that was way quieter and then this one which was way louder.🤦

Where you located on face book i drive a duece and a half when it not broke down witch since i bought it and it wasnt well kept before i got it its down more then its driving but would like to talk with other owners of them and learn more about the trucks iv had mine 3 years and still trying to figure out alot of the issues with it and learning how to do the repairs got a od issue so far that started yesterday that cant figure where to start to find the problem hoping someone else might be able to give me some advice

I had a big ass log splitter with that same engine it was crank start only 1/4 turn on the crank and it was fired up every time when cold it was almost impossible to start hot it was tired. On Thursday I'm going to a farm auction and theres a Hobart SAE400 with the 2-71 Detroit in it hoping I can scoop that up cheap
