Just to let you know, Intel launched an independent attestation service called Intel Trust Authority to allow you to make ECDSA-based remote attestations beyond Azure. You may deploy your SGX code to any other cloud service provider or your own machines. We found that it would save you a lot of money if you have many deployments on Azure confidential computing VMs considering many small CSPs charge 1/3 of what Microsoft asks for.

MEV actually stands for 'Miner Extracted Value'. Technically PoS nodes are called validators, so VEV could also work, but most people understand that MEV refers to value that a blockchain miner or validator can make by including, excluding, or changing the order of transactions during the block production process.

About Prison Dilemma and commitment device. If we set selection rule on commitment device among competing smart contract we may get a better equilibrium than in original game. For example, device pick smart contract with smallest value of max(Reward_Alice/Reward_Bob, Reward_Bob/Reward_Alice). If it is a common knowledge then strategy "If Bob commit to Silence and transfer to me 1 else refuse" will not be a dominant.
