@@RetroSuperbikes acceleration. A 954 with a perfect launch could match a 720s from 0-100mph, but after the 720s will pull away. 720s trap around 145mph in the QM, while a 954 on average trap mid to high 130s. A 720s is more similar in accelration to current litrebikes and is more acclerative than most litrebikes of the mid to early 2000s.

Here's a R1. Around 50hp more than a 954RR up against a 720s. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWGynmODeNx_qpIsi=D73q7FiyDr3TCdKr FYI I ride a 2015 R1, also own a 2002 R1 which is same power as a 954. Also have a 97 TL1000S.

@@PAPPABIATCH a lot depends on the rider/driver. Drag race is only straight line speed too. But on paper a 168kg 954 with 154bhp has a power to weight ratio of 0.67 bhp per ton. Whereas the mclaren at minimum 1400kg and 710bhp only has 0.36 bhp per ton. I prefer real world terms though, as you can see here the 954 waited up for the mclaren on several occasions. The R1 may have 50 extra brake, but it also has 30 extra kilos. I came up against another 720 on my SP1, and the results were very different. 120bhp and 200kg, so struggled 😂.
