I need the cup😮❤❤❤❤
@liviaghenea63885 күн бұрын
On a level 4, a stylist applied a level 9 and 20vol.The result was copper, very warm. By adding a level 9 color to the base 4 we get 9+4=13÷2= 6.5. By using the Universal Law of color: 9x2=18-4=14. Which one should I use? I'm confused.

I'm lost. You said demi will not change the natural hair but you also said that higher levels will shift.😒
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert5 күн бұрын
Yes when you formulate a creme demi on dark hair and use a much higher level of color you will see a slight shift and lift there is a difference between liquid and cream demi

Hi. I’m new to color and you are my new hero. In this example I fine that the 9 tube end result seems cooler than the desired result level 7. Like I said I’m new. Just asking. Also when applying the color9 as a touch up. Are you applying to the roots and work down the shaft? And if there is gray, is the tube of 9 implied to suffice for gray? Thanks in advance.

The universal law of lift you talk about is for virgin hair only, right?
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert14 күн бұрын
Yes and no because when you are retouching any client’s single process you use the math to formulate to match

Will using 20 volume with demi give hot roots, or just lighten the number level?
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert10 күн бұрын
I would never use 20 volume with a demi as the whole purpose of deposit only is that you do NOT want lift.
@cmac699216 күн бұрын
If I would like to add a few highlights with bleach(I have before), would I do it before or after demi root coverage? Or shoukd I do all roots with permanent and then my highlights and then tone with demi?
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert16 күн бұрын
Hi it depends on what % of grey and what level demi and how pale the blonde you are looking for
@cmac699216 күн бұрын
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert my root regrowth is greater than 50 percent. I usually use blonde me by schwartzkopff with 20 volume and do highlights pale. Old color is is like 8.

Hello. DIY here. I used wella demi with vol 10 wella toner for my gray hair which is a few pieces around my hairline and 10% throughout my head. I’ve tried the same thing twice and it washes out as if it was barely touched, if at all and I puzzled as to why it immediately washes out? I’ve left it on for the specified time. Any tips or ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

I feel they’re just getting a temporary rinse at the sink on wet hair. It actually lasts a lot longer when done on dry hair as intended. Thanks for the tips!

My issue as a client is going from colorist to colorist, having a consultation, everyone telling me they can do this and I leave the salon with different results I'm unhappy with. Then living with it for a while, to keep my hair from getting over saturated with product, etc. then getting a referral to an excellent stylist, having another consultation and again, leaving without getting the results I'm expecting. I bring photos, I have gone with 2 inches of natural regrowth with grays... and I'm always unhappy. I don't care how much it costs I just want a certain result and no one can give it to me. Why? I live 10 miles outside of NYC... There are some of the best stylists in my area... yet I can't get anyone to do what I want. It's so frustrating.

I’d ask what they have in mind then based upon that, start the conversations from there. I owned a specialty high end women’s clothing store and women shopped with me because I’d tell them “get that off”in a way that made them understand, I don’t need a sale bad enough to have you walk out of hear wearing that representing my store. Id think hairstylists would realize the hair they do represents their work when people ask who did their hair!!

Ms Elaine!! My mom is in a jam and came home with box color asking me to touch up her roots before she can get in with her stylist next month. Without a doubt, she’s a natural level 5, with 50% gray. It just so happens I’ve got many bottles of shades Eq Demi w/gel processing solution and “think” I may can help her. I have 7NB, 6NB, and 4 NB. I’ve not listened all to this videos yet but since I need 5NB, would I do an even mixture of my 4 & 6 to an equal amount of processing solution? (Making a 5NB?). I’m thinking of applying all over her zone 1 one, underneath and around face, capping and applying heat for 15/20 mins then let her process for another 30. Rinse and dry, then if I wanted to refresh end in a chocolate warm tone, What would you recommend? I have clear, 06GN, 6NCH, 06N, and 05N. Would love your advice!! If you have any spare time. Meanwhile I’ll keep learning from your YT videos.

Hi Emma it really depends on what level her stylist uses on her and if she has translucent or opaque coverage. If it is super matte and opaque and you retouch her with shades eq it can appear as hot roots or poor coverage because it is a different finish. What level would you say her artificial colored mids and ends is?
@EmmaDee4 ай бұрын
@@ElaineTraviscolorexpert I’d say mid shaft and ends is 5N& 5NR (splash of red/warm). Without a doubt the roots will handle the 6NB&4NB but I don’t want to make her ends/midshaft appear darker yet would like to refresh. I know my verbiage sounds horrific ( because I’m learning)but I’ve heard you say we should know what’s underneath. (She had highlights last year this time but she’s gone darker with warm shades. So if she’s 5NB mid and ends, and we wanted to just refresh without killing it, what could I do?

Not a hair stylist but I have the same predicament. I specifically asked the hair stylist to use demi permanent color. She applied permanent dark brown to the roots because it looks black 6 weeks out and I have grey new growth. Can’t wait to see the solution
