I've been using epoxy products for 35 years. I wear gloves to protect my hands and wear a respirator, abrasion resistant gloves, heavy turtleneck sweatshirt when I trim epoxy. There's ALWAYS an extraction fan going. So far I haven't had any major health issues related to epoxy. I have worked with people, briefly, whose bodies were extra sensitive to the epoxy exposure. One guy had trouble breathing on his first day and had major rashes on his arms. We agreed that line of work wasn't for him. Not everyone reacts to epoxy the same way. Use caution and listen to your body. ✌️❤️

This is so familiar… I bought a pyrography set and it did not come with any form of instructions/warning … so I started using MDF to test it on .. wasn't working so well, so figured to google to figure out if it were me or just the wrong wood … to learn I shouldn't use MDF because it's not healthy 😢

I think it was an algorithm that brought me here- and I hear here -Liam Payne's story from a sippy cup perspective (after I investigated what epoxy cups are)- this video was recorded in 2020- epoxy resin went big at the end of 90s- 1st we were aware of- was its toxicity- newer mind that, in 2012- I went step back epoxy, and try to work 2 component liquid plastic (material for fixing ships, when is mixed with glass wool- all children playground outdoor play zone is probably made of it)- I was aware of epoxy toxicity, I assumed this is toxic too.I cover myself. After 24 hours thought I'll die. The place I bought liquid plastic, was one or rare that was selling it to civilians, EU forbids/restricts access to that product to civilians- I believe. Can you imagine in what epoxy gang- drilled this lady- on way they did - with children's bottles and glitter? Epoxy was pretty new and revolutionary in the time the Twin Towers fell. Costed fortune, we need to order from abroad.

Any time you use something that has a vapor you must wear a respirator and one ment for this type of work. painting respirator filters are best for this type of work. Smell or no smell. Always wear it.

Please try clear lungs by Ridgecrest. Comes in regular and extra strength. I have witnessed it help in extreme cases. also use herb called mullein to soothe your lungs. It's really good stuff.

Have to say this goes for anything. Paints, plastics, the videos of people heating plastics in their ovens. Everything chemical or heated that you breathe is going into your respiratory systems.

THANK YOU! I started doing epoxy several months ago. Within the last few months my lungs have felt very weird. I remember thinking, “maybe it’s the epoxy?” But I denied it bc I love doing it so much. Now, hearing you I’m convinced it’s bc of the epoxy. Ty, I will no longer be doing it. It’s not worth it to me! I really appreciate your video! Who knows, it may have saved my life 😊

Thank you for this I haven’t done epoxy but was actually just getting ready to dive in. And you’re right, I have watched a ton of video tutorials and the person is not wearing any safety gear or even recommending it. Some have said do this in a well ventilated area but clearly that’s not enough. I’m sure you have everyone giving you advice on your lung issue. Thought I’d mention a product that was a huge help in my recovery from COVID and has been a massive help with my mom’s chronic bronchitis. “Zuma lung clear and support” don’t know if you have tried this but figured it might be worth a shot. I truly hope you heal and your life roller coaster settles down. Prayers

You should have read the back label. It is strongly advised to wear protections, on both ingredients. It is always good to read the composition and the safety on any non food purchase. Even your new pantrys. Hope you got better since five years. But if you still have respiratory problems try inhalation from 1L /1,5 L of just boiled water, were you up 3 to 5 girof cloves(anti inflammatory and anesthetic properties), or a branch of thyme (this last one have anti inflammatory an antibiotic properties). Using a towel to cover your head and the bowl breathe the steam at list for five minutes. It will help you to open your lungs in a safe way. Don't do it more than every four days ( you could do it every two or three days, but it is for very short period, like ten days) or once a week.

Well it's been 5 years since you've posted this video and I am so glad that I found this. I am 71 years old and am a self creator of miniature houses, paint pictures, etc. and had an idea to make a clock for a friend to display in her coffee shop. I was going to encase coffee beans in epoxy and have the clock at the top, like a small grandfathers clock. I live in a small apartment with hardly any ventilation except windows and sliding doors. I have COPD and this video just saved my butt! God bless you and I hope you are feeling good by now.

Maybe you should do some Mullen drops to help clear your lungs. I am so sorry to hear this. I just bought us resin but I will take precautions thank you for uploading this video.
