I love how hard Miitopia commits to making you believe the Dark Lord is the final boss, this song goes way too hard for a fakeout final boss in what feels like the first third of the game

The lyrics have never been officially released but the ones that make most sense is I'M YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR I HAVE YOUR BACK TO THE WALL STRIKE WITH ALL THR PLAGUES DRINK OF THE WINE OF THE WRATH OF GOD WAR BROKE OUT IN HEAVEN I'M YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR WAR BROKE OUT IN HEAVEN STRIKE WITH ALL THE PLAGUES THOU SHALT NOT OPPOSE THE WRATH OF GOD FEAR! FEAR GOD AND GIVE GLORY TO HIM FOR THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGEMENT HAS COME TO YOU NOW! WHEN THE THOUSAND YEARS HAVE EXPIRED, SATAN WILL BE RELEASED, JUDGEMENT HAS COME TO YOU. As you can probably tell they're seemingly random bible verses that have been put through an old text to speech program and distorted, with the composers voice on top. They don't mean much in terms of the game's plot, the story is that the world has ended and is in a transitory state between the old world and the new world, you are a survivor of this apocalypse who has been given the power of demons to assist in your survival and now you need to wander the destroyed world while learning and choosing an ideology (Strength, Solitude, Harmony, Freedom, Destruction or leaving the world as is) for the world to follow

The part with the chorus chants and the guy singing feels like dantes demon half arguing/fighting with his human half. A peek into the inner struggle Dante deals with.

Pros to playing cello: +neck of the strings sits on your ear and the back sits against your chest, so the music is constantly resonating inside you as you play. You don’t just HEAR the music. You *wear* it. +played well, cellos are sweet, mellow, and sonorous. They sing, man. The deepest lows and the shrillest highs. Gotta love the sound. +Cello section tends to be smaller than the violin section, so you tend to get to know your fellows like a small brotherhood Cons to playing cello: -they are big. Except for electric cellos, cellos are pretty damn big and heavy compared to violins and guitars. You get a work out going from place to place. -play it wrong, and the whole neighborhood will know - *pedal tones.* Every composer and their goddamn grandmother shunts pedal tones to us. Doesn’t sound too bad until you get to grips with the weight of the instrument and the sheer AMOUNT of the background noise the composer wants you to carry. And god help you if it’s pizzicato (fingers playing the strings instead of the horse-hair bow). The strings are wound tighter than on a guitar, so you have to press WAY harder, and you pluck harder, too. The song “Carmina Burana” had our asses playing *53 straight measures of pizzicato…* a.k.a., *mind+hand-numbingly repetitive bullshit,* crossing three tight strings for a good ten minutes or more before LOOPING. It made the song sound cool, but FUCK did some of us cramp up something fierce. I learned to play with three fingers that day. -you end up waiting forever for the violins to get their shit together during practice. Above example of the Carmina Burana again. It was AGONY to not only have to go through the hand cramping pedal notes, but hearing the conductor stop us because someone in the violins screwed up, forcing us all to backpedal and GO AGAIN. And yet, the cello was an instrument I would never give up playing willingly. That sound, man. It’s beautiful to hear, but to actually PLAY that sound yourself, full vibrato engaged, feels like you’re singing with your whole body. From the top of your head to the tips of your toes, you FEEL it. And it’s beautiful. 10/10, would hand-cramp again.
