This is not a factor in the overall. More importantly would be the voters that know they will be ridiculed for their choice , so they remain quiet to reduce the drama in their lives . And you guys call them " the undecided " LoL. Voter turnout increase may be off the charts this time around. To protect our children's mental well-being and safety , also women's and parents rights .

He's been tried for a Federal Crime in a State Court. Illegal in itself. 2 branches of Federal offices both came to the conclusion that there was no crime, so the state of NY overstepped their bounds and held a Federal Trial (with no support from the Federal Courts) and forced a Conviction. The SCOTUS has already ruled on it and said that it's Null and Void. hat NY overstepped their offices. But it now works in Trump's Favor. Zuckaberg admitted to tampering with the Hunter Biden LapTop case by using his influence as the creator of fb to remove any and all such challenges to that subject. He even submitted papers to congress stating such.

What happens when most of your stress comes from external sources out of your control. I.e. inflation. My cost of living went from $1500 a month to $2100 a month with 0 change of my life. Buying the same things, living in the same place. Everything's the same from me.

Respect to your KZbin grind, I personally have always had an interest in psychology without realizing it. I've been naturally stoic and quiet growing up, so I tend to be more of an observer. The way people interact and think about things is really intriguing because everyone has different responses due to their environment. I also seek to understand myself more, but as I got older, I realized psychology is an amazing skill to have in the corporate world. I love technology and even decided to pursue software engineering, but it has a massive downside... people are essentially becoming less humane.

I want to point out how difficult it is to create healthy boundaries with social media. I’m a 27yo female and I try my best to keep my instagram and TikTok algorithms stay away from celebrity and influencer culture. My instagram is private and I follow a lot of comedy accounts. But for example I’m at a point in my life where I care about quality. Quality handbags, clothing, I want the stuff I own to be respected and last. This by default tends to open a side of social media surrounded by people showing off their better and more successful lifestyles. Something that has helped me in recent years is to “deep clean” my phone. It took forever to organize my Pinterest but it truly made life more enjoyable. Same with my saved folders on instagram.

To your point that conservatives are the less vocal in the workplace, I have to respectfully disagree. It's been my personal experience that those who would loudly discuss their political world view, 9 out of 10 times it's the conservative in the room. It's almost as though they think everyone thinks the same as them and they don't have any social awareness guiding them to keep their opinions to themselves. Though anecdotal, I've seen this across several companies over the last 10-15 years. YMMV.
@DrRogerHall
@DrRogerHall Ай бұрын
I suppose it depends on the make up of each workplace. I've seen it go both ways in multiple work environments. The important point is not whether the person loudly proclaiming their political views is on the left or on the right, it is that most workplaces have people with heterodox views. Quashing expression of diverse viewpoints in the workplace, regardless of political worldview, keeps people from performing their best. Thank you for interacting with this video!

Work remotely. Have way fewer distractions at home. Perhaps Roger's personal life colors his view of this. But I have a dedicated office and no pets or children. There is literally no one here to distract me. Coworkers cannot pop in to kill time or complain about random things. I still socialize with them every week, but it's during a defined amount of time. I'm an extrovert generally but I thrive working at home. I may be a one-off, but I need more data to believe the claim that there is less distraction in offices.

Thanks for interacting with this video! As a person who has worked remotely for over 12 years, I do well working outside of a centralized office. Success working remotely depends on the person's (1) personality, (2) work demands, (3) personal disciplines. For example, bookkeepers might thrive working remotely because of the nature of their work. Marketing teams might not thrive as well, given the collaborative nature of their work. Distractibility depends on the person's personal disciplines. Thanks again!

You're saying the body knew? Hows that possible?
@DrRogerHall
@DrRogerHall 3 ай бұрын
Actually, I'm saying that the brain knew, but outside of conscious awareness. Our brains gather and process way more information than we can consciously process. For example, you probably never think about binocular vision and depth perception, but there is a lot of brain area used to process that ability. As our scientific knowledge of the brain's activities expands, the more we can make visible to what was previously invisible. One of my favorite books on this subject is called Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior by Leonard Mlodinow. Thank you for your comment!

Anger is not a choice, however it is not a primary emotion, it is a secondary emotion, it results from being confused about what you are actually feeling. in men? Let's be fair, it's commonly caused because we are taught that crying or showing weakness is not manly, so it's not a choice, it's a side effect of shitty parenting. and lack of knowledge.
@DrRogerHall
@DrRogerHall 5 ай бұрын
Yoshinottv, thanks for your comment. Experiencing anger may not be a choice, but the expression of anger IS a choice. With practice and rehearsal, people can control the expression of their anger. Looking at the neuroscience, anger (like fear) is a primary emotion -- a threat appraisal response. In many people it is a "default" emotion -- a little like the tool on the top of the toolbox. In many men, it is their default emotion. The primary expression may be a result of poor parenting. It is likely more common in men because of testosterone. Changing levels of testosterone in people will change their expression of anger. Thanks for interacting with my video. For a fuller explanation, give a look at Chapter 10 of my book, DIY Brain.

I disagree sometimes getting angry really means getting overwhelmed, as someone with sensory issues I lose my temper when I’m having sensory overload. However I believe we can control how our comes out and get mad and take time to myself and quiet room until I’ve calmed down. That’s losing my temper people who claim they can’t control their temper and act with violence are the real issue and they can control that, but you can’t necessarily control how angry you get. Anger is a human emotion and is often and escalation of other emotions.
