Great video I hope you put more out such a good explanation of pre-fight anxiety... and a boxer being concerned about letting down people who came to see him fight...I could totally relate to that because my second Pro fight after I had won the first by knockout the promoter informed me that I would have a easy Less skilked opponent for my second fight being its a Hometown gig and( I needed to sell 25 tickets just to get paid for the fight) ... and I should have no difficulty winning the fight.. and I didn't need to worry about my weight because the guy was chubby and overweight and slow... at least that's what he promised me he actually got me a two-time Golden Glove champion two weight classes above me... Right up to the fight I was so focused on getting all my friends and neighbors to come out that I was thinking about everything except the guy in front of me... What ended up happening I got stopped in the third round he was just too big too strong he wasn't better than me the referee stop the fight cuz of my eye... I felt so humiliated and angry with myself that I let everybody down after asking them to come out and sde me do well that I' had actually apologized to a lot of them... But after realizing what a scumbag the promoter was in that his job was only to put on a fight show event ...he didn't give a damn about what may happen to me or whether won the fight or lost...you have to be very careful with the people around you when you launch a pro career

*Some facts about Kru Muay Association* The Kru Muay Association originated from the separation of the amateur Muay Thai from the professional Muay Thai. This division pursued the goal to have Muay Thai recognized as an Olympic discipline by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). A project that has not been successful until today. The officials of professional Muay Thai would like to have nothing to do with Kru Muay. For them this club is only a necessary evil. If you take a closer look, you will notice that all the so-called traditional teachers of the Kru Muay Thai Association have simply appointed each other as teachers and are now worshipped by wealthy foreigners once a year. The whole association is very political, but has less fighting competence than an average boxer in Rajadamnern Stadium or a Buakauw (who is a Cambodian and not a Thai by the way). Despite comprehensive state support, the Kru Muay Association still has no coherent teaching concept for traditional Muay Boran and Muay Thai is still not Olympic. Thank you for this solid advice. I've been searching for 14 years for the right words to use for myself as well as my students. I nearly bomb a test every time due to pre test jitters. I think your words are spot on!

First of all, one of the better videos out there - if not the best. There's one other, where the guy explains how breathing can help with anxiety. I'm having a fight in a week and I'm a fucking wreck. Last night I woke up 3 a clock for no apparent reason and couldn't fall asleep. I'm fighting a gym partner and he's better than me. I'm definitely stronger and have better reach, but I lack so much in detail. I envy the dude I'm fighting because he's so good, but he' seems to be scared of me too. Last time we sparred, it was a war and he was shaking and trembling. This is my first fight and my last fight. This is all pretty much a science experiment for me, because after the fight I'm going towards being a trainer. It's also about me proving I can do this. And that I am powerful. My worst fear is gassing out and after that comes the fear that I'm weak and I've been lying to myself all this time.

Hi my friend, actually I’ve lost the fight on points... First round for me, second even and the third I gassed and I’ve been too passive, so I lost it. I’m crazy about my performance, cause I was absolutely the most technical and composed and he only pressured a lot. In k1 e it count a lot...I can only fight at my 10 or 20%... the sadly part is that I’m from the same gym of Giorgio Petrosyan (I imagine that you know who he is) and he always said to me that I will build a solid career, since 2004...so I’m 34 and I’ve not achieved fucking nothing, only for the tension! The last was my first fight after 8 years stop and I’ll fight next week so I’m confident that I’ll be more productive this time. 😜 Thank you so much
