The 2020 one had a massive boost in turnout because of the political polarisation and incitement of the “us vs them” mindset that was encouraged by radical supporters.

@@squidthesquid1233 why is that? Why are rural people voting republican and urban people voting democrats? Is it because democrat policies are favorble to urban dwellers but not rurl dwellers. And vice versa for republican policies. Please enlighten me. Im not american but I am very interested in American politics. Its quite fascinating but also heartbreaking to see such a huge country divided instead of united despite having the name united states of America. Right now it feels like the divided states of America.

@@marcuscarana9240 It’s because urban areas typically have a much more diverse economy, whereas rural areas almost always rely solely on agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. Democrats often focus on services, technology, and finance. Policies that support public transportation, social services, and education are often beneficial to urban residents. Republicans often focus on policies that support their local economy, such as lower regulations or subsidies. Another factor is that in big cities, there is much more readily available education, whereas in rural areas, it is limited. This often leads to cultural changes where rural areas are more conservative, while urban Democrats are more liberal and progressive. Lastly, rural areas usually have less diversity and an older population. Older people typically focus on practical and immediate concerns, whereas younger Democrats focus on future concerns.

@@squidthesquid1233 Wow, that is fascinating. Thank you for giving the time to explain these things. The political landscape of America is so complex. No wonder there's so many gray areas and not everthing is all black and white. Though this is true for any political landscape.

@@beffery_jezos the Vietnam War was the worst war in US history and Nixon ended that war in 1973, he helped to complete the landing in the moon in 1969. Sadly Watergate overshadowed his presidency, and he was guilty, I agree with that. Likewise I don't know about the economy of his presidency.

@@Sánchez.492 Ford ended the Vietnam War in 1974, JFK created the Space Program which landed people on the moon in 1961. Nixon bombed Cambodia and Laos, and ended up causing one of the most deadly genocides in history. The only good thing he did was open up China - meanwhile, he had political rivals like Fred Hampton assassinated, opposed integration, put segregationist judges on the Supreme Court, and cut welfare programs. Probably one of the worst presidents we've had aside from Harding, Buchanan, and Reagan.
