Nice job Ting Sifu. While this video only shows a fraction of the form, you can see your endurance while staying focused through to the end.

Hi Master Ang, I am interested in learning this form, may I know what it is called?
@hahauhavcrabs092 ай бұрын
What's it called when you lift your foot at that very last moment while doing that strike? Looks super clean!

"Boards don't hit back" - Bruce Lee
@Imperialcombatarts2 ай бұрын
People have been parroting this nonsense for a long time. No one ever thought they did hit back, neither do punching bags, hand mitts, shooting targets, weapon pells, or any other “training” target. We spar hard with all our arts plus BJJ, Muay Thai, and Boxing… we use targets in all these arts too….

Over 20 years of toughening def will make it look easy. I like how you can see the force that you’re generating in your face and body on the slo mo clips.

Very impressive. Especially that second break using the finger as the point of contact.
@Juice833 ай бұрын
Woah! Wish I was even able to attempt that! Broken bone in my right hand with a plate to hold it together, and it definitely wasn't doing something this amazing! Keep that conditioning going!!

It's pretty nuts to smash your hand / forearm into a baseball bat, not break it, and then do it again, harder. Conditioning is awesome.
@marekaquila14763 ай бұрын
Nice break. Hand and forearm breaks vs a bat are definitely high level. It’s cool to see all the pieces flying around in slow motion, it’s hard to see at first it happens so fast!

Hi, can you post some demos of how your animal systems deal with punches and kicks sometime? Thank you
@tomjeff17433 ай бұрын
don't see a lot stepping to evade the strikes nor head and body movement and flexibility. watch mike tyson and floyd mayweather.

Tyson and Mayweather are boxers. The reason head movement like that works well in boxing is because they only punch with no grappling or kicks. These students are training in arts that’s have kicks, knees, grappling, weapons etc. There is a reason boxing head movement is not used in Muay Thai, combative training, grappling, or weapons training. It doesn’t work the same and you’ll get knees to the face, taken down etc. Students at ICA do train with a boxing coach and a Muay Thai coach as a secondary study, but that’s not what’s being shown here. This is a important exercise that keeps students on the line under lots of pressure using the rear hand to develop it as a part of real combat training.

The amount of dedication master Cahala puts in to to teach and practice along with all of others life’s responsibilities is inspiring. Also would not want to be on the receiving end of any one of those, beautifully done

The slow motion is awesome, you can see the force kick back into her arm and body, shows that there was some strength to those boards!
@taoching77813 ай бұрын
This is the result of years of training, when you make breaking boards look easy.

nice moves, but how do you apply some of those on concrete or asphalt without hurting yourself?
@Imperialcombatarts4 ай бұрын
Good question, being the person doing the throws, these can all be done safely on concrete. However being the one who is thrown hard to the ground, whether in combat or by other means such as falling on the ice or some other thing, good practice with break-falls, rolls, and body conditioning is crucial. Especially with hazards like curbs, chairs, stairs, to fall into. Our advanced practitioners have been thrown thousands of times in all manner of ways and can handle hard falls much better than most people, and while fighting back.
