Nice riding bro. Love the way you talk yourself through some of the more challenging features. MTB is such a mental and physical sport. It's invigorating and therapeutic lol I'm enjoying the vids, keep it up! 🤙

Nicely done. My buddy shattered his wrist in that same section that you went down on HM. It's hard to check your speed after that first off camber waterfall, especially in dusty summer conditions! Man that's what helluva loop on an amish bike, I hate climbing mathis on my eMTB LOL kudos to you for powering through!

Damn man the heat was crazy sunday, not sure how you rode. I rode early Saturday morning and I thought that was bad.
@hamonabikeАй бұрын
It was def a little warm. I went out Saturday and started around 9:45 but quit after an hour. Saturday was super hot for sure! Starting earlier Sunday def helped a bit, but I think sunrise starts might be the best option for now.

I have asked politely before, and I will again, can you please not post the names or the entrances/exits of the trails that are secret in Aliso and Laguna
@hamonabikeАй бұрын
A couple weeks ago you commented “I am simply the messenger in this situation so it’s not me personally going after you”. You seem to have returned with the same message. Who has sent you this second time as the messenger to deliver this message? Or has it evolved into a personal preference? While I appreciate the suggestions and respect everyone’s opinions, they are merely that - a personal opinion worth no more than my own. I have the ability to make my own judgement calls and I believe my decisions are reasonable. I appreciate the feedback but this channel wasn’t made to cater to everyone’s preferences and personal opinions. It’s a personal expression of my preferences and it will remain as such. Thank you.

@@hamonabike the locals (like me) would really appreciate it if you respected our home trails
@mkushin29 күн бұрын
He didn’t show the entry or exit really on any of these. And they’re easily found on Strava. Laguna and aliso are my home trails and I ride all of these a lot. I’ve rarely ever seen anyone else on them while I’ve been riding. He didn’t share anything that you can’t easily find on Strava.
@TumorWarrior6728 күн бұрын
@@mkushin I see your confusion here, I know that he did not post the entrances/ exits but he did post the names of these trails, I gave 3 points for trail naming and I will to you as well so you know... When you do not name the trails, it a) keeps the name out of the mouths of the masses, people cant share what they don't know b) keeps riders off of the trail, for instance, if an average joe rider takes on the challenge and gets hurt, needing medical attention, that raises a huge red flag to OC Parks, thus they will shut the trail down for good and patrol the area giving tickets to riders, on top of that, once this starts to happen, less and less people ride the trail or do any maintenance and the trail gets claimed by nature and disappears forever c) has a psychological factor to it, people associate with names, so for example, if your video was secret trails instead of the names and they wanted to find the trails but did not, they would most likely forget after 24 hours, but since the name was dropped, if they couldn't find it, they would still have that name in the back of there head and pursue the trail and that will lead to b) or a) Also this reply just told people how to find these trails so if I were you, I'd take this comment down.
@mkushin28 күн бұрын
@@TumorWarrior67 As much as I can appreciate your condescending tone... I am personally not the gate keeping type and I'm happy to share the trails with new riders. I actually do a good amount of work on these trails too, and have had a lot of "outsiders" offer to help after riding. Have a great day and be safe out there. Rock on.

MTB vids seem to often fall short in showing the steep/gnar. But at least those of us who watch know the effects of the video. And what the features are really like.

It seems as though the previous comments were deleted, I have the original comments sent to my Gmail so I can gladly respond to the message you sent me and help you understand better on why you should not namedrop or post the exits/entrances: You are correct in assuming that the rangers know all of these trails, the reason behind not name dropping is for the simple fact of namedropping will bring attention to the area, since these trails are in sensitive areas for OC Parks, not namedropping will keep the trail less known to the public because it a) keeps the name out of the mouths of the masses, people cant share what they don't know b) keeps riders off of the trail, for instance, if an average joe rider takes on the challenge and gets hurt, needing medical attention, that raises a huge red flag to OC Parks, thus they will shut the trail down for good and patrol the area giving tickets to riders, on top of that, once this starts to happen, less and less people ride the trail or do any maintenance and the trail gets claimed by nature and disappears forever c) has a psychological factor to it, people associate with names, so for example, if your video was secret trails instead of the names and they wanted to find the trails but did not, they would most likely forget after 24 hours, but since the name was dropped, if they couldn't find it, they would still have that name in the back of there head and pursue the trail and that will lead to b) or a) Also, it was a good thing that your reply was deleted because it contained information on how to easily find these trails which is a no no. Lastly, I am not saying do not do this, but simply telling you to say secret trails instead of the names, I am simply the messenger in this situation so it is not me personally going after you, I am telling you not to do that so you do not get bombarded by angrier locals than me. Thank you and great riding!

Haha. No, no motocross background. Before picking up MTB in 2022 I was trail runner. I rode a rode bike for a year in 2008, but nothing else apart from that. I ride 20-35 miles a week of MTB, and try and be intentional about my progression. I appreciate it. 😊
