For the 2017 model year, Toyota updated the Corolla giving it a facelift and adding Toyota Safety Sense 1.0. The S became the SE and on the SE, those fog lights were replaced with Daytime Running Lights. The new safety features include a pre-collision system with emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure alert/keeping, adaptive cruise, automatic high beams and sway warning

Great Video. The only thing different I would do is run the fuel pump once All the Fuel lines where hooked up to check for leaks before putting manifold back together. I think if it has Diagnostic box you can run pump from there or just turn key to ON Position NOT ALL THE WAY TO START, Just to on , fuel pump will Prime, Might have to do a few times to get fuel press up

One thing you didnt do ..u should have ground out the center of the chip and any stray cracks to prevent spreading .. @ 2 you should have thinned the nail polish with acetone so it would penetrate better even with a mild temp vacum then pressured it into the crack seams..3 super glue works really well if you keep the glass ina cool enviroment allowing you time to vacum and pressurise the glue into the seams. end of fault fact finding mission
@rustbucketproductionsАй бұрын
Good comments in my opinion. I didn’t feel super confident in drilling/rounding out the center of the crack. Using acetone to thin is a good idea and one that I would like to try out. Not sure if the glue would lose any of the adhesive properties once combining with acetone. A vacuum would have been ideal but I was just working with what I had available with the goal of reducing the internal stress at the tip of the crack.

This is a good procedure. Some added suggestions is to check the level of the fluid before you begin and keep an accurate track of the volume drained. I have done this on other vehicles; When I do this procedure I usually change the filter/strainer and clean the pan and magnets. When I am doing the refill I add an extra liter or quart and drain 2 liters at a time, try to cycle through the gears. No problem doing this as a one man job.

Thank you very much for the video! Very helpful - information is good and clear and camera work is done well. One thing that would be awesome would be to provide the part numbers, quantity and torque specs. Small detail but makes videos that much more helpful and really adds value. Another helpful thing I find in videos like these is showing the struggle of getting a part out or a nut/bolt loosened. Helps to see what ultimately worked for you and highlight at least one option for a potential challenge. Mistakes or confusion is very relatable to don't feel like it needs to be excluded.
@rustbucketproductionsАй бұрын
Thank you for the feedback. The more videos that I have come out with the more I try to add in the torque specs while I am talking or I will add them during the editing process. Sometimes I cut out the longer portions where I do tend to struggle to be cognizant of how long the video is. I'll have to work on finding a balance between the two.
