Awesome review man! I'm really falling in love with this bike. Lovely going to be my next rig. Just curious, we look about the same build. What size are you riding and how tall/heavy are you? I'm 188 cm and weight about 99 kilos. I'm leaning toward the xl but still considering the L. Thanks man!

Opted for the K-Lite's. Received them, first impression: good quality, good padding. Been wearing them for a few hours around the house and walking around. They feel good..hitting the trails soon to see further how they will perform.

Greetings from little old New Zealand, Very interested in getting the Madonna, I’m around the 95kg mark and definitely feel it would be a mistake for me to get the Jibb, esp given the riding I intend doing on it, good to know that given the burly nature of the bike that it still climbs relatively well. Decent climbing characteristics is not a deal breaker for me but I’m pleased that it does ok in this area. Your review has definitely given me confidence that I’m making the right choice. Oh and nice pick on the rims absolutely Love the Hope Fortus “bang for buck!” Is insane. I have been running a pair laced to Profile elite hubs for 6 years now on my Evil Faction 2 jump bike and they are bulletproof.

The real reason why mountain biking is prohibited in Austria away from forest roads and/or on them is the inadequately clarified liability issue. This means that if someone is too stupid to ride down a trail and falls, then the owner or forest owner is liable.

thanks for the review, I think I will go form the k lite. one question, do you think the k lite will fit ok under some long pants for winter riding?
@ALLMOUNTAINMTB5 ай бұрын
Glad I could help! The answer to your second question depends entirely on the model of pants. They are not extremely bulky so it should be ok for pants designed to accommodate knee pads.

Great review. The limited seat tube insertion is an issue indeed. Also, if you're feeling a bit upper than your ideal position, 1st: it's not good :) and 2nd: you could install a 165mm shorter crankset. Shorter cranks also prevent the pedal strikes due to the low bottom braket. Ruben actually advises to run a 170 or a 165mm crankset on this bike. I love my 165mm cranks... and I love my Madonna. Cheers from France!!! ^^
@ALLMOUNTAINMTB6 ай бұрын
Yes very true! I am not bothered by too many pedal strikes. But I am used to low bb bikes so I tend to be more aware of where the pedals are instead of trying to pedal through everything. Enjoy your bike!

I life in Austria and I ride mtb here. I wouldn’t change the law there is no need. We have a good trail infrastructure and the Forrest protection law in place is more important than the capitalist view on forest and tourism.

Well spoken and structured mate. I had no idea Austria (home of some of the best mountain bikers in the world- Vali Holl , Fabio Wibmer, Laura Stigger, Andi Kolb.)have had to ride only bike parks!

Greetings from Texas. Excellent video and review of the V3. Just subscribed to follow your adventures in the big mountains . One reason I’m considering the V3 is the high stack you talked about, size medium is 650mm which is up to 30mm higher than many others. That cock pit position and geo plus all that adjustability , there is no other rig like the Madonna. Keep up the great work and have fun

Thanks Todd! You won't regret it. This frame is well beloved by many.

Don't expect too much folks. This "strategy" is just hot air - a move to sway voters during elections in September. Kogler, head of the Greens, will most probably not be in the next government and therefore this will be dropped immediately.
@jopaulussen81967 ай бұрын
Well there is already a huge selection of bikeparks in Austria so in that way they are doing great. For the “community” trails, yes they could improve. But if I have to choose one country to go biking for the rest of my life I’d still take Austria, even in the current situation. The mtb tourism is big already and with skiing seasons getting shorter, they have to embrace the mtb culture. If it will only get better from here on, it will be the best mtb country in the world. (It already is imho😅)

land owners will never agree to anything here in austria. i can tell you that for sure

the reason is most woods are private land in austria, thats why the owner of the land can simply forbid biking even if he ruins the whole area with his tractor.
