Hi Todd, how to invoke the initial setup, over this video just saw you typed user and passwd, and then appeared initial startup setup, I just need to change Admin IP to DHCP, but configure-network just allow to set manual IP, thanks for your comments and great video!.

Ha! Just finished this course and it was a humorous one. Ronnie was holding his own with Todd...as long as you don't mention subnets and counting by 16s.😅 Then again, Todd forgets some things too. 😁 There are lots of gold nuggets in there. Although it's in legacy🏚️, many of the things taught are still relevant.⭐

This guy one of best, i used todd lammle for my CCNA few years back best book ever the subnetting brilliant. Todd can i have a discount to sign up to your firepower session self paced lol,. UK ! I've just moved into a role they have FMC all i keep getting is the amp threshold exceeded last connectivity to cloud Cisco advised tune it yeah I'm new to this prodcut so got some learning to do

08:20 Shutdown FMCv from ESX and not from FMC/system/configuration always resulted in FMC DB corruption rending FMCv unusable in the few times I have done it, I believe it is safer to just do it from the FMC

Interesting, although I've seen that a couple times, I've literally done this over 1000 times easy. The actual best way is from the CLI of the FMC with a shutdown -h. If you are just powering down the FMC and not using a graceful shutdown, then it almost corrupts every time. Appreciate the post!

Great video and good timing. I'm implementing 6.2.3 as an EOL upgrade to an old ASA5510. What is the schedule for the rest of these videos? I remember when I bought your PIX firewall off of ebay and you sent me an autographed proof of your book. I still have all three PIX, proof and book. Yeah, I'm a pack rat.

Hi, is it still required to review the firewall rules in the cisco asa if it has firepower services with auto-tuning of IPS rules? If no, then there is no use of firewall, isnt it? Apologies if you find this nonsense. Thanks!

Thanks for the post. Could you let me know If I have added an IP to custom whitelist and suppose teh traffic os from that Ip to n Ip in global blacklist, whether the traffic will be passed or blocked?

The whitelist over rides the blacklist, every time.
