My son and I fished the Chestetee river area of the lake up near War Hill park and had a solid limit by the end of morning, Shaky Head on points and deeper docks was the ticket. Caught a few on top water, small spook to schooling fish. They are there, see you on Lanier!

Hey visions, Guntersville lake was fun to fish, we found them shallow and deep, around the grass mats frogs, flukes and buzzbaits were effective most of the day. The off shore trench bite was decent on swim jigs, Carolina rig, drop shot. The fish were scattered, but found in likely places. See you on Lanier.

First. Way to go Bud that's a reel confidence booster. Yep that Oconee is a real mud hole, but when there pulling it can be fire! We fished Lake Burton this past Thursday and had a 30 fish day on drop-shot next to docks. Fluke bite on Lanier is on, see you there.

Hey visions, my wife and I kayaked from Lula park to Don Carter, river is a mile wide, fished a white spinnerbait most of the way, no luck, can't wait for spring, thought I saw you at Balus on Tuesday.

It seems like youre fishing out in open water, are you throwing that over brush piles? The line looks pretty heavy (15lb?) what size do you use?
