Dude if someone looks at these comments talk to me, I need more friends who like Greek mythology. I'm new to this but I'm currently writing notes about the gods and goddesses I want to start devoting myself to and worshipping (which I understand isn't for everyone.) but please my friends don't understand me 🙏🏻

Hey fellow pagan!!! That's how I got into Hellenism too, actually. I was a casual enjoyed of Greek mythology, found Percy Jackson and thought of which cabin I'd be in (Cabin 7 :3) And that, somehow, led to me worshipping Apollo, and Aphrodite, and Dionysus and even other gods! I make small offerings cuz I'm a teen and don't have much to give, but the god are very accepting of it and very helpful Sorry for oversharing, but the point is: It's amazing that you wanna worship them!! Also, we can be friends if you'd like :3

Just watched Troy (2004) for the first time. I loved it so much. There was so much loss involved. Achilles losing Patroclus. Paris losing Hector. I really connected with the charcaters. Greek Mythology always fascinated me as a child and it still does.

Y'all, I'm not kidding nor exaggerating when I say this: I literally wrote a poem while listening to Persephone by Tamino. I kid you not that. My friends cried reading it. So the poem is on how it's better to embrace the cold rather than seeking the warmth that looks away. Something along those lines. And heck, I am crying too. Also, another trigger for my poem is I have been single all my life so makes sense Ig : )

My application as your friend/girlfriend: (cuz i don’t know anyone who shares my interests, probably because i live in the middle of nowhere) I‘m 17, obsessed with greek mythology and with music. I love music and i need it like 24/7. I love just walking through the nature until i‘m absolutely lost and then i get scared because i think a serial killer is gonna find me. (that part isn’t so funny, i admit) but my dog always comes along and she’s really scary (not at all, she’s a labrador with more golden retriever energy than a golden retriever). I hate snakes. I would like to like them but my phobia says no. Besides that, i love all animals. Even tho as a kid i suspected that every animal i came across was actually Zeus in disguise. How do I explain that to a therapist? I definitely need one. Anyways. I also love writing, poetry and books (are they bad? yes. will i stop? no) I also love painting and reading and board games and video games and long talks in bed until the birds start singing again because it’s the best time of the day to talk. I‘m always a tiny bit late, even when i leave the house an hour early. I love baking, my parents hate when i bake. So i always bake and then hide what i made which sounds really stupid because it is. I absolutely want to move out but i‘m broke because i buy too many books and i‘m also have to finish school before i have time for life again. (which i hate. School, not life) Anyways. like, comment this comment if you wanna be friends or something (sorry for oversharing btw) :)

my application to be ur friend: im recently getting back into reading abt greek mythology so i might know much cause i left it all behind cause my friends don’t rlly pay much attention to that sort of stuff and plus religion. I can’t live without music like as soon as i wake up i put in my headphones and listen to whatever playlist i see first. I love walking thru nature but am lazy to😭 yes we exist lmaoo. i love talking to animals for some reason cause i always believe they listen to me (i may be crazy😛) i also had a whole thing of tryna to fit in which is why i put a lot of things i like to the side (greek mythology as an example.) i love drawing even tho i always have art block lmaoo, i love writing stories and i do have a book that i’m tryna to write, i love poetry even tho i told everyone i don’t like it. (another example of me tryna to fit in). i’m always late cause i have to try on 3 different outfits/shirts to see if it goes with the day😭i love talking and ain’t afraid to say something. anyways i hope we can be friends and i think i over shared a bit😭

My application as a friend (or lover? Idk, it's WAYYY too early to decide that lol) (I'm bi and genderfluid btw, and I shouldn't have to mention this in a comment section about greek mythology, but I hate homophobes. If you are one, please just stop reading here. I won't be friends with homophobic people.) I'm 15, I like greek mythology but only know the surface level of most of it (I have downloaded the Illiad but haven't gotten around to finishing reading it yet :p) I also love walks through nature but I live in the middle of a city and the closest I have to "nature" is a park near my house which has paid entry so I don't go there often I don't have pets but I love animals, even tho I'm allergic to a lot of them like dogs and cats (I _love_ snakes and other reptiles, actually! Tho I get how they can be terrifying) I also love reading, writing, poetry, drawing, singing, listening to new music (unless it's rap. I'm really not a fan of rap music) My favourite time of day is the point right before sunrise when everything is blue. I love watching the sunrise and greeting Apollo a good morning. I also like to stay up until sunrise rather than wake up before it. I'm also often late to things, but that's probably my adhd lol. If I haven't mentioned it already, I have adhd. I also have a habit of using lots of brackets and using too many words to convey my meaning, and a habit of yapping and sometimes oversharing a lot Also I'm a hellenist, which basically means I worship the Greek gods. (And may I suggest downloading ebooks instead of buying the physical ones? It's cheaper, and in some cases even free) Anyway, I'd love to be friends with you! We seem to have a lot in common. You speak a weird mix of germanic, nordic, greek and latin. You follow the same laws that the people of rome followed 2000 years ago. You vote for a system created in the city dedicated to Athena. You have visions of your past and future every time you close your eyes. You just can't remember how it felt to storm the walls of troy. And you say the gods are gone?

Achilles Come Down has made me cook up so many mini stories in my head when I listen to it, my favorite probably is that Achilles is the man on the roof (obviously), Potrochilies (I think that’s how u spell his name) is the voice that’s begging him to come down, and Hector is the voice telling him to jump, then it’s just a back and forth between Potrochilies and Hector kind of taking over Achilles’ head while Achilles is fighting himself on the roof. What do yall think tho?
