El manual dice que primero se vierta el aceite y después se pone el filtro, ya que se genera una bolsa de aire que dañaría el motor
@BikingBuddies17 күн бұрын
I don't believe it makes the slightest difference as the filter will be empty in both cases. As long as you run the engine on idle for a few seconds to fill all the oil Chambers, then switch off, let it settle and check the levels again. I can't see an issue. Never had a problem in almost 40 years of riding/driving.

Looks like a brilliant course for confidence building. Its got me thinking ive not spent any time on the dominator just practicing low speed controll. I think ill try to get out on it this weekend as all the trials are cancelled due to the rain over thebpast few days.
@BikingBuddies18 күн бұрын
It's an odd thing as you'd think the higher the levels, the more speed would be involved, but it's not. Sure, the terrain becomes more challenging, but so do the manoeuvres. I guess speed is a byproduct of being in control, bring more of a technical rider. The instructor said that many times; its about picking your line rather than just riding (through) a situation
@mickemmett682818 күн бұрын
Looks like you enjoyed yourself, I would imagine it's not a cheap experience so did what you learn justify the expense? Did you get that clutch adjusted?
@BikingBuddies18 күн бұрын
I think on balance the courses are value for money but yes, individualy they are not cheap. That said, I split mine by 12 months each, so effectively spread the cost. Given that you're on their new bikes, fully supported, and with two dedicated instructors, I do feel its value £/£ The team adjusted the clutch on mine overnight (I didn't report it until the end of the day) and sorted a few other bits on other bikes.

What about the other side? If your bleeding is the process different because there is two
@BikingBuddies18 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. You'll see on the video that I'm bleeding the right hand front caliper and as such, the bracking system on the R1 4c8 is duel feed into the left caliper, with a bridge feed to the right. Meaning that the right caliper is the 'end of the line' or the last point in the system

I'm 5'10, and the raid sits a tad tall ( I'm on tiptoes ) l, have you lowered yours at all, if so, how much, and any adverse effects ? Cheers in advance ... Tegzzy .
@kylearditoАй бұрын
The world raid is a good chunk heavier than the standard t7. I've ridden both and for trail riding lighter is better. Both lovely bikes though.
@BikingBuddiesАй бұрын
As Kyle says, the WR is a heavier bike for sure. To answer your question, no mines not lowered as I'm 6ft 1" but I know a lady who has one and its lowered. Not sure what it'd be like off road on lumps abd bumps though as there is quite a bit of suspension travel to consider. Either way, I'm sure you'll love the torque and smooth power delivery - welcome to the T7 brigade 😎

I was sympathetic with the esiting too, as a lot of time, i was stopped half way up a hill, then had no choice that to start in 1st - that was the issue on the first hill i struggled on. Being in the TRF, I ride with folk on 2strokes, 250's to higher cc'd bikes - all are suitable for country roads - perhaps not motorways for sure, but roads in the Yorkshire Dales and Moors aren't an issue.
