@@BoltmanAPnice! It seems like the YJs always have some sort of weird electrical quirks. I’m not an electrical wizard but they’re fairly simple luckily

cj7, it holds the best value and easy to get your money back when you sale. yes the yj is more robust but just doesnt hold value like a cj7 so its a no brainer when it comes to a build choice

I am working on my '78 F 150 with a 460 and need more clearance from the oil pan to the tracking arm and not one hour before seeing this I had this idea. Perfect timing as I believe it will make a ton of difference for me. How does this affect the mounts for the transmission and the t-case? Did you have to do any thing there?
@nate250f5 ай бұрын
Perfect!!! Clearance issues are the worst! Due to my mounts being rubber or whatever material they are, I was able to just tighten the bolts down and almost stretched it to their mounting location. But I did notice a gap that wasn’t there before I tightened them down. If it becomes an issue for me, I was thinking of making some form of wedge to offset that gap and make sure it goes with the new angle of the drivetrain.

Sweet dude. Inspiring. I’ve got a 4 banger 95 YJ myself. On the fence about selling it because I just bought a 05 Tundra. The Jeep is in good shape, only upgrade is it came with 3” body lift, 4” lift leaf springs on 33” tires, riding high! But you got me thinking I should use the heck out of it, and start having some fun. I like all you have done

Great tip, I always look at Home DEPOT clearance section for items. I found an air compressor, recovery straps and an Inverter.

Did u remove your track bar and sway bar with your lift kit? I am considering taking mine off as I have some bunpsteer and bad angle so a lot of people say to take off the track bar and sway bars if your lifted? Also how does it drive without track/sway bars?
@nate250f Жыл бұрын
I don’t think removing them will help your bump steer. You may want to try an extended pitman arm. But YES! I removed front and rear track bars as well as the front sway bar. It does drive slightly different so you’ll want to be careful but I think it is the best mod I have done! It rides much better and flexes 2X the amount it did before
