@RVTPLUS You're welcome. Ella, if i may, i want to know your personal approach when it comes to this: sure you, me, everybody, went through a lot of period developing the templates we use, creating families and we sometimes don't want to share them with someone else... What would you do in this case since Autodesk didn't offer us a way how to for example lock them and block others from stealing & using them without our permission once shared... ?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts-it’s such an important topic, and I completely understand your perspective. I do have some thoughts on this, but to give you a thorough answer, I’d like a bit more time to gather my ideas. I’ll get back to you soon with my response. Thanks for your patience!

There's a lot easier way by ( select the objects you want to double it, for example the window > make copy by CTRL C > go to pest in modify > click on pest multiple levels > make sure to select the level you want ) and gwala you made it❤

Why did you start by removing the radius of the columns?
@RVTPLUS23 күн бұрын
Sorry for my late reply! I started by removing the radius of the columns because filleted corners can be hard to see clearly without shadow, especially in video. I just prefer it this way-no specific reason beyond that.

May I ask why you didn't create profile A and B together as 1 Sweep?
@RVTPLUSАй бұрын
Well there is absolutely no problem with creating them together, but firstly it is easier to check the lines this way. As you saw it is a bit challenging to draw small lines and curves. Additionally, if it is a double hung window creating the main frame separately is more practical for corners and joins, and also for making them openable.

"line end style" this is available in autocad why not in revit for sharp corners. this option allows the line end rounded or circular

So how to use these in stair path, where these really play the role?
@RVTPLUSАй бұрын
Same technique, create it in a wall based family with controllable angle.
@FikreY-og9bjАй бұрын
This is a great video, and thanks. Is it also possible to create similar connection between timber(wood) and steel, for example between timber (wood) column and steel beam? Thank you in advance.
@RVTPLUSАй бұрын
Well, I don't think the material could be a problem here. But the "connection" might be annoying, specially if you are using a customized family. To be sure, test it with creating the connection with steel first and then switch it to a timber wood! If it didn't work, you can always create connections manually. Hope it helps.

Hi. When i made the profile A, it kept giving errors that there were no loops when i tried uploading it to my family, and i could not get beyond that stage.
@RVTPLUS2 ай бұрын
Hi there. That simply means some parts of your lines are not connected. When you see the error, click on show, and it will highlight those open parts for you.
