That's not Cuban bread. Real Cuban bread is not soft like french bread. Go to LaSegunda in Tampa! They make real Cuban bread. It's also where every local restaurant gets their bread for Cuban sandwiches. Tampa is the Cuban sandwich capital.

That Cuban bread has to have lard in it! Publix has two Cuban bread recipes the one you see most often outside of the Miami area does not have lard in it so sad! Hard to find outside of Florida especially

You didn’t go to Tampa so this is not best. Miami is big city but that does not change history. Tampa is original and best

Let us know how that goes. Cuban coffee usually needs sugar bc its over roasted for strength. If you use better quality espresso, you can usually skip the sugar/sweetners all together.

I didnt have my volume on and i had CC on,and it said "Im gonna leave the potatos in an ice bath for 10 minutes so we can seperate" and then it stopped, you put the bowl to your mouth and looked at the camera, then it just cut to you holding a knife at your face and it says "starches" and im like ohh so he wasnt just staring at the camera and cut off his sentance on purpose to leave us wondering what we're suppose to be seperating 🤣

Hello from Battle Creek, Michigan. I am a cuban american who has been living in Battle Creek, Michigan for the past four years. The only thing I miss is Cuban Bread and Pastelitos. Cuban Bread doesn't exist here. You guys are so cute! I enjoyed watching you. However, you didn't get the famous La Segunda Central Bakery in Tampa. They are the original Cuban Bread Makers in Florida. If you do get it, please let me know.

That looks and sounds wonderful! The closest I've had is Turkish coffee, which I love. I usually use a press to make my daily coffee, though, for ease and convenience.

I haven’t tried to make Cuban coffee just yet but I’ve been wanting to since a colleague who was from Miami made it for me. I recently bought a moka pot and have only been doing espresso or coffee with it but I’ve watched a couple of videos on making Cuban coffee (your video is by far the best) but I just wanted to say that the instructions that came with my moka pot said to fill it with coffee but definitely NOT tamp it. If I hadn’t read the instructions I would have tamped as I’m used to making espresso in a typical modest home espresso machine. Other than that, your instructions are great, thank you!

You do have to tamp it down a bit - definitely not like espresso, but lightly packed, it will make a great cup. You'll have to experiment a little to find what works best for you.

Over tightening like that only destroys the gasket sooner. Just a moment after you feel resistance from the rubber is all you need. The valve is there to release pressure in an emergency, for instance if your coffee is packed in so tight that the water isn't passing through. The risk of covering the valve and over packing the coffee puck is that the unit may explode.
