Man I have had zero luck on whopper plopper. Until last weekend Was getting slammed . But couldn’t hook up . Medium heavy lews spin reel . Seems like they were hitting short

Adding a red hook gives the fish something to target. Try that and see if it helps.

I’ve had a whopper plopper for two years and have yet to get a bite on it😂 I have gotten quite a few fish on everything else topwater though, just not that one.

For the most part it is a situational bait. When fish are in an aggressive mood they will eat it. I did the same thing though! I had a box of them for about two years and never caught one on it 🤣

I picked up a 2021 Laramie 4x4 in Patriot Blue last month before they skyrocketed $15,000 in my area. I've never been a RAM guy but my God this truck is awesome! I'm so glad I bought it when I did. I have zero regrets.

How many mile on it? I have the same set up, just mine is a Laramie off-road package. I only have roughly 1500 miles on it but i'm averaging 13 in city and 17 on highway.

I now have 8,300 on it. I was getting about 13 pulling a boat through the hill/mountains in Tennessee.

How do you like the truck? I’m looking at the same Ram Big Horn, but on the fence between 3.6 V6 eTorque or 5.7 V8 eTorque.

I love the truck. Honestly I was never a Ram guy until a couple years ago and idk if I can go back to anything else at this point. Depending on what your pulling would depend on what engine you want. I would go with the 5.7 because it will do everything the plus more than the 3.6 would.
