Great commentary from a Legend who knows that so well. Those who have rowed around the island can definitely relate. Great video of the race segments.

Did anyone call it in? Very very slow response. And why no fire boats? They are right on the water for Christ’s sake.

One instance where a Fireboat would've been effective. Enormous quantities of water available just to the rear of the structures.

It is 100% federally illegal to fly over emergency scenes. Drone pilots like you ruin it for the rest of us who follow the rules.

Interesting, it has the geometry of the ancient version of the Speedmax CF 9.0 but has the rear storage box.

Beautiful boat. How does she compare to a sea hunt 234.

Kate and Andy Toegood from Cape Harbor Marine NJ would probably know the answer to that:) I just make the marketing films.

The heritage that is exhibited in this product/video...PHENOMENAL. People, if a product can survive through generations, over time, take on the challenges of competition and struggle to win year after year---you have to respect and support that---like one of YOUR Family. Hat's off to Jacquin's!

Higha Steven. I'm an old Louisiana shrimper that just retired from nursing. Now, I'm going back to the gulf. and building another boat. Last one was a conventional 50 foot Lafitte skiff with a demple on the bottom. The next boat will be 43' by 18' on the deck for a number of reasons. One is I get nervious when the water is over my head, but draft will likely be about 6 foot. The boat will be a gull wing with hard chimes and a square bow to stay dry.. The dimple will be over the bottom on the stern. It actually pumps water toward the prop, something similar to a Kort nozzle, only it works better and is cheaper. When working, the hull seems to sit in hole in the water, simply because it pumps so much water. If the water can not be replaced in the prop as rapidly as it could exhaust, the entire water column rotates, and wastes a ton of power, fuel. and speed. Never run a wheel with the tip speed greater than a mile a minute. A conventional boat will generally run better with with a square wheel and enough reduction. My last boat weighed in at 32 K pounds with a 671 and a 3/1 gear. It was designed as a displacement hull, but would have plained off if i had held the chimes down in the back. I'm also going to use opencpn as a plotter, so I have it on a desktop in my office. For some unknown reason, the "wrench" tool kit is GONE, and the title bar no longer has The view button. ENC charts have the high pressure gas lines which are not on the RNC charts. Shrimps like it nice and warm. I think the like the smell of natural gas too. So does spiders.

Great Coverage... Response time of FD seemed a bit slow...

At two minutes and four seconds from the beginning of the video the fire Department is there. That's not slow at all.

It could also be a volunteer fire department or the nearest station was a volunteer station

here is what is crazy your flying a drone around on a fire scene! witch is just down right stupid if you ask me. If you lost control of that damn thing and it hit someone like me that was on the ground trying to put out the fire you would have had a lawsuit. I agree it is public airspace but use some common sense! I am a drone guy myself and on another note great footage and good call backing the fire scene in the end. hell of a view!

Really bad fire... but the drone coverage is amazing... not to say I enjoy fires.
