What I don't understand is why these owners allow their horses to get to condition of neglect. I had to learn to care of my horse's feet when I was 15, my parents bought me a book and the basic tools, the old timers helped me also and gave me important advice. He was barefoot and sound his entire life. My point is if this is a horse culture, why isn't footcare more important to these people? Why don't they help each other? If you would also taught the owner as you worked on the horse that would benefit the animals long-term and allow you to help more horses. IF YOU GIVE A MAN A FISH, HE'LL EAT FOR A DAY. BUT IF YOU TEACH A MAN TO FISH, HE'LL EAT FOR A LIFETIME.

Why did the horse owner allow this beautiful mare get in this condition BEFORE calling for help? Unbelievable🤬

Hopefully the hoof heals really well this time. Speriamo che lo zoccolo guarisca davvero bene questa volta.

After a year and a half?! Poor Horse, it's a long time, and he's not healed, more time, what bad luck 😢❤. Dopo un anno e mezzo?! Povero Cavallo, è un tempo lungo, e non è guarito, altro tempo, che sfortuna 😢❤.

Many/most owners in South America don’t care or treat their animals at all. They just truly don’t care. They aren’t good humans

This horse needs to be x-rayed before you start and a vet needs to be involved. What kind of medical care will she get after? Such neglect of this beautiful animal. Just kept to breed and no care for other parts of her.
@blackdandelion5549Күн бұрын
That is swollen up into the fetlock and pastern from the hoof. I would do immediate antibiotics with that horse and rads to see if the infection is into the bones and joints. Requires immediate vet intervention.

Sorry, but what kind of owner breeds a mare, or just lets her near a stud, in this kind of condition!!?? Poor baby, hopefully she heals quickly <3
