To lock it back (unless ur the Incredible Hulk) Spray WD-40 inside there is two little notches that hold it in place on the pole side of the spinner and it’s easy after that

This just proves the manufacturers are out to steal your money. How often are you going to use an auger before the batteries are dead?
@DIYwithCam

Will depend for everyone, but I have installed 3 fences now, with the largest being 650lf, multiple holes for various posts in the garden. It has still worked out cheaper than renting one and is much easier to use than a gas model. The battery has lasted really well, I use it in my mower and weed eater and has great performance. Battery tools aren't for everyone, but the technology is improving greatly.

Try cutting a 45 degree angle on the string, then try. Make sure to push it in a little further than needed and pull it back to make sure it has caught.

Hey Cam, two questions: what blade height are yiu using for simple clean up and how did you swap out the bagger and dethatcher quickly? Takes me forever to maneuver that damn bag on and off. Is there a trick to it?
@DIYwithCam
@DIYwithCam 2 күн бұрын
Spring and Fall clean up is usually done a little shorter than I would normally mow, say 2.5" for clean up and 3" for regular mowing. For mowing before dethatching, I run at my usual cut height (3"), then use the same height for cleaning up the thatch. I have found it to be too much work on the mower to cut and pick up the thatch, so always mow before dethatching. My shoot gets clogged, the mower bogs down and the bagger needs emptied every pass. To install the bagger, I align it up with the 2 pins, one on each side. With the top of the bagger tilted towards the mower and the plate that latches on to the the mower tilting towards my legs. This allows for the bagger to hook over the pins then slot into place when straightened out. I also don't use any pin to secure the bagger to the mower, the 2 pins on top do a good enough job. I will respond later this week with a short video to show a visual too.

The one that comes with the trimmer plus brush cutter attachment. This will only fit your trimmer if it's an attachment capable trimmer. If you have one, remove the standard head and replace with the new attachment.

Hello and thank you for the video. I have a question I hope you can help me with. I have a Craftsman wet-dry vac 6 gallon model number 113.17965.1 I must have disposed of the filer a long time ago. It works fine but it is quite loud. I only use it to drain water and wet leaves off my pool cover before removing it. Since I only use it for the wet vac purposes- do I need a filter at all.
@DIYwithCam
@DIYwithCam 7 күн бұрын
You won't need the filter if it's used for wet vac purposes only, but make sure the float is installed so that water doesn't get sucked into the motor.

If I spray my walkway, spraying directly only on the weeds, will it kill flowers that line my walkway by going underground and getting into the soil?
@DIYwithCam
@DIYwithCam 9 күн бұрын
It shouldn't, but as always, when using a jew product, do a test on a small area first. Make sure you spray when it's calm put, a slight breeze could cause some ovwrspray, then you will have issues with your flowers getting sprayed.

As a Landscape Professional who absolutely hates chemicals, this is not as great as prompted. Deep rootes weeds simply grow through it. I dont have time to reapply 3-4 times. Also i have used up to 40% acidity vinegar with no noticeable difference from grocery store 5% acidity. Intense sunlight dose the heavy lifting. Because all the vinegar does is devolve the Cuticle ("sunscreen") from the leaf. Im not even convicted the salt makes a difference. I do however think the soap helps because it acts as a surfactant (wetting agent). If you think I am promoting Glyphosate (RoundUp) you are Absolutely incorrect, I just havent found the natural "magic bullet". But in early spring Flame Weeding is too much fun and effective in certain applications...

Ive got the same saw. Handles a whole kitchen remodel which is why i bought it. Had to stay on budget. Its not perfect but for a jobsite table saw at that low pricepoint it's certainly serviceable. Having said that, I'm now getting into more finer finished woodworking and a different (probably more expensive) model will do a much netter job. Still going to stick with a jobsite form factor though due to cost and portability. Great review!

The top down method is basically adding a full floor of big logs at the bottom and crossing another section on top and then build it smaller the higher you go then start your fire at the top of the structure . Then you’ll have a small fire at the very top to begin with and slowly the coals and burned wood will fall and light the section underneath and so on. Making it an hour long fire with literally zero maintenance until it’s all burnt through in which case you can literally do it all over again if need be, just this time it’ll also light the bottom a lot quicker because of the hot coals
