Interesting video and Aall good points.. I am a model railroader, but some of these details actually would be a concern on a model railroad with the track gauge...But, of course far more serious in real life on the prototype. Phil

When does it become economically maintainable to swap wooden for concrete ties? Don't the curves need more maintenance than straight track?

any main railroad service. contractors generally follow FRA standards which is the LOWEST safety required rules.
