@jensnow3363 I'm not sure if it was my video 🤔 Container wax is softer than melt wax so if you use container wax for wax melts and its a little too soft try adding some melt wax. It's trial and error to get it to how you like it 😊

These are wax melts and are used in a wax melter. They don't require wicks. Wax melts are placed in the top of a wax warmer/melter and a tea light candle is lit underneath which melts the MM wax melt to release the fragrance. I hope this helps 😊

@@freckleface1 I am new to this. I made candles in school back in the 1960's. But they were made of tallow. There was no such thing in the US as soy wax. It was tallow or beeswax. I am making burnable candles. I have a cloud mold and cactus molds. Also green and blue coloring. When you melt the wax after it is melted is that when you add the color?

Yes, it's the basically the same as in this video depending on what dye you use. You add the candle dye once you have melted your wax and stir it in. You should be able to find temperature recommendations on when to add it on the instructions or from where you purchased it 😊

I usually put 10% fragrance oil in depending on the fragrance strength. If its a really strong fragrance I use around 8% 😊

They are the 20cl Karen ones if I remember correctly. You can get these at most candle supply places 😊

Oh no. I've never had a problem with the dye on the molds. I like the bekro dye chips but obviously you can't use them with this method. I find the Randall's Candles liquid dye good. I clean my molds with fairy liquid and very hot water. Hope this helps 😊

Hi. Yes I am from Devon 😊 The base I use is Auego. The fragrance oils I use are from Candle Shack. Always found they perform the best in diffusers, but now they have had to change some of the oils because of new rules so I'm not sure how well the new oil formulas will perform now. Some of them you can't use the same % as you used to either 😔

@@freckleface1 oh same ;) do you have instagram? Does that now mean you have to mix a stronger ratio where as before it was around 20% - 30%

The % varies but I think the max is 20% and some fragrances are a lot lower now. I do have Instagram but only for my other channel I do visiting places in the UK

Hi 👋 Yes I'm from Plymouth in Devon just over the border from Cornwall. We all get called farmers with our accent 😂 I find cleaning the smaller jug out easier between fragrances and its easier to pour from. It was annoying that I didn't like the fragrances. They seemed to have a funny 'tang' to them. Most of them went into the bin but the better smelling ones I gave to my mum and sister

It sounds like frosting. It is a natural effect you get from vegetable wax, especially soy wax. It won't affect the candle when you burn it. Keeping a steady warm temperature of the room whilst setting and curing your candles may help. It's lovely to have coloured candles, but keeping them the natural colour of the wax helps disguise frosting if you keep finding it a problem and dont like the look of it. I hope this helps 😊

Yes I could have done that. I was only trying this fragrance out, so I'm using them myself 😊 They look lovely upside down. I put them in my warmer upside down, and once they start melting it looks like they are bleeding to start with. Looks quite effective in a weird sort of way 🤣

@@freckleface1 Some people stir for a full 2 mins. It's not how long but how that causes the bubbles. An even slow pace with a spoon or treated wooden spoon and you're fine :) You only need to blend the oil and that starts as soon as you add it... Personally I think you did a really good job 🤗

@rosie jackson oh no! I haven't had that before. I'm not sure if there's a trick to get it off. I wash my moulds in very hot water and dishwashing soap and use a toothbrush to get in all the corners. I think some moulds are more prone to staining than others but if you wash them well it shouldn't effect your future wax melts.

I've just looked at these kits and they look really good for the price. It varies where I get my supplies from. I try and buy when I need a few things as postage is not cheap. I buy a lot from Candle Supplies and Candle Shack. It's just personal preference especially with the fragrance oils 😊

Those look really good kits for the price. Just read the instructions thoroughly a couple of times before starting so you have a good idea how to make them. Get everything out that you want to use weighed and prepared ready before starting. They are really easy to make. Have fun 😊
