Hi, just checked out your channel and found, through it, another English copy of the film on a channel called TwoOfUsUK, so it still has managed to stay up, even though my English copy was recently removed by youtube for a 'copyright' violation. My Italian one is strangely still up. We'll see for how long it stays. See my other comment to you.

As the writer of this film, I thank you for the translation. Having attended the De La Salle school in Tripoli, Libya, Italian was, more or less, my first language.

Hehe, I haven't placed a comment here in almost 10 years. You're very welcome. There are some spelling errors, but the translation still serves well. Living here, I speak, think and dream in italian. Thanks again for writing.

It is with deep sadness to tell here that LEE WHITLOCK -playing PHI- died ,after a long illness with a brain tumour. He was 54.Our film will be a tributr to his sensitive, subtle portrayal ,a really fine example of his acting..He is proof that an actor need not be gay in order to give us such wonderful acting - He and Jason Rush's terrific performances helped make our film important -as was recognised by the BBC selecting it for mention in a documentary "Kids TV-The Surprising Story" as film for young adults that was ahead of the rest of BBC programmes,They both made a film that is among the most important in my life.

This really is sad news to hear and still really young. Lee and everyone involved in Two Of Us definitely made this a definite groundbreaking drama and still very much relevant today. Lee was an exceptional actor and has left a great legacy behind. Thank you Lee for your excellent contribution to so many shows and films you appeared in, you will most certainly be very very much missed ❤❤

I applaud you on this film Mr Tonge and Leslie Stewart, I only discovered this film through Lee Whitlock passing sadly, I only wish modern film making in gay cinema could get back on track with this approach of telling important stories instead of the unnecessary negative clichés. There are only a handful of British films and plays that I think also got it right (which may have been inspired by Two of Us) that included Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful thing (1993) and Patrick Wilde's Get Real (1998) and apart from the expensive American import DVD it's a pity it isn't more widely available so this upload is greatly appreciated.

I was so sorry to hear this, Roger. I’m the same age as Lee, and I grew up watching him in Shine on Harvey Moon, and then got to see his wonderful performance in Two of Us. The film made such a huge impression on me at the time, thank you so much for creating a ray of light in what was a dark time for young gay people in the UK.

Having these feelings is not a sin. The sin comes when we act upon these feelings. as Christians we want to be obedient to God and we know that God is Holy and that God wants us to be holy even as he is Holy_ therefore we do not want to act upon any kind of sin whichever it may be, because God hates sin. in fact God became a Man in the Person of Jesus Christ to die for our sins and to abolish Sin. The Bible points to sexually gross sin and He says that those who act upon these gross sins will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven_ but then the Bible also says, "And such were some of You, but you have been washed you have been sanctified - set apart in Christ Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. In other words we are no longer to practice these sexual sins. We as homosexuals feeling these feelings we are to put the flesh to death, the Cross is a symbol of death, and this is why Jesus said "to bpick up your cross and follow Me."

As many people have said this was such an important film at the time. I secretly recorded it after my parents had gone to bed on the night it was shown on BBC2 in 1988 and I still have the VHS tape today. Watching it made such a big impression on me when I was a teenager and even when I see it now I still get those feelings. Everything about it was so well put together, the story, the acting, the music (and also the rough sea played a part) It was only a couple of years ago that I first saw the 'proper' ending but I knew that was how it was supposed to be when I first saw it. Thank you for sharing it on here and thanks to Roger Tonge and everyone who worked on such a great film that helped so many young people like myself.
