This is only my second video of yours and I couldn't agree more. This year I bought a stripped back set up. All eBay bargains with a rod reel and spey line coming in at well under 200. I decided this year I was even going to give up on sink tips and put weight on the fly and adjust leaders for depth. I hooked more fish this year than any other and I've fished the river for 3 years. I've a collection of shooting heads and running lines that I'll not look at now as the simple old fashioned way works for me. In my opinion the ne gear is like fancy flies. It's designed more on catching your wallet than a fish.

Hi An Gobán Soar, we don't sell flies, but I would argue that a selection of Cascades, Willie Gunns & Green Butts in various sizes (#8-14 hooks) (3/4" copper, Aluminium & coneheads) would cover most waters and conditions in Ireland.

Hi Rahim Somally, thanks for watching, the fish is this video is a Wild fish, the river is divided into several different fisheries which all require permits, also Salmon and Sea Trout anglers in Ireland require a State Licence to comply with legislation.
