What we have here is a very weak team that has just weakened its pitching staff by trading their ace pitcher for 2 potential starters (Teel & Meidroth; C & 2B), a potential stud in Montgomery and a potential quality pitcher in Gonzales (both of which are a few years away). Let's be real on Robert: He will be injured for about 60-80 games this coming year because he sees that this club is another 100 game loser. This forces Getz to move him ASAP in order to get maximum return. As soon as he is injured this coming year his value drops drastically. And we know it is going to happen. Plus, I got the feeling last year that he was finished with trying to do his best for this flawed club. And what are we going to do with Vargas? If he does what he did last year we have to DFA him and hope someone else will pick him up (where he will probably suddenly explode into a valuble player rather than dead weight). I predict 110 losses this year.

Instead of suggesting that injuries got in their way I think it's possibly the White Sox organization who completely has failed his players when so many players do poorly and don't develop look at Louie Roberts at this point. So many of them have just failed They may have some potential and I don't know why we call the socks rebuild a failure they were good for a few years COVID hits Anderson can't hit anymore and field he is destroyed by COVID it appears that may have also happened to other players

TBH, the WS did well to get these four prospects. I might have offered four other highly rated prospects that haven't excelled quite yet, like OF Miguel Bleis, INF/OF Nazzan Zanetello, INF Mikey Romero and SP Luis Perales. Perales is the top ranked pitching prospect, but he will be out in 2025 with TJ surgery. The others were first and 2nd Round picks that have gotten off to slow starts.

Being a redsox fan I watch tons of minor league & major league games. Take my word for it Todd. You guys got quite the haul from Boston on this trade. You gotta love Montgomery. Power hitting switch hitter and above average outfielder. He will soon be in your outfield and Teel is a good catcher with multiple tools. Meidroth could soon be in your infield. Gonzalez needs more minor league seasoning. This injection of prospect talent is just what the doctor ordered for you guys. Go White Sox !!!! Joe

Hate to lose Crochet as we now have no great pitcher to lead us. Crochet should bring many wins for Boston. Meanwhile...... Once more we get a player with a broken leg (Montgomery) but this one has the possibility of being an excellant RF'er until he can go FA and find a team that is trying to win the whole shebang. Teel will be an excellant defensive catcher and we will see if he can hit MLB pitching. Meidroth is a no HR infielder who may cover 2B until we can get a better hitting (power wise). He may be a #2 hitter. Can he steal bases? No. He is slower than average. Gonzales may end up as a part of our relief staff as an innings eater. Or he might end up a another 4A player. I do believe we are weaker at SP now. But we have some great LHP's on the way as well as Taylor and some other interesting posssibilities. I know many liked Thorpe but I believe the second time a team sees him they may have their way with him as he really has a very limited fastball to offset his changeup which is his best pitch. So I see us with Vaughn at 1B, Meidroth at 2B, Montgomery at SS, Ramos at 3B, and Teel/Quero at C. Vargas is a 4A player we will have trouble moving elsewhere. OF is a work in progress until Montgomery arrives for RF. We need a CF'er as you can't trust Robert as he is always hurt. Fletcher can't hit. Benny in LF is average at best. Going to be an interesting team.

Hello Locked on whitesox. Redsox fan here. Been a redsox fan for over 60 years I am pretty much in the know on the Redsox minor league system. You should be pretty happy with the package you got back for Crochet. Montgomery is a power hitting switch hitter with a powerful throwing arm. Probably was the best outfielder in college baseball. Teel is a very good catcher and hitter. You are really going to enjoy those two . Meidroth is a very good infielder. I have seen him play. I have also heard good things about Winkelman Gonzalez. I think you will be pretty happy . I think your team needed a lot of help and you really got a terrific package. Once Teel and Montgomery reach your major league team I think they will be mainstays for years. Good luck in 2025 . Great video review my friend !!! Joe
