Thank you, Pastor Colin for this message. There have been times that I needed to be reminded of this. I noticed I had underlined 42:1,2 at some point.

plain and simple: with my sinful inbuilt nature, I could still hold a 'pure heart !! reason being I strive for holiness, and as a result I could see God, not in the literal sense of the word now, but as a consequence when the time comes '

Pastor Colin, thank you so much for what you have learned. Since Jesus came into my life, He has given me a desire to read the scripture each day. A gentleman from The Navigators said "No Bible, No breakfast." May the Lord continue to share what He has been teaching you.

The Passover?” is Setting aside, slaughtering, and eating a paschal lamb was introduced as a celebration of the festival. It Had to be performed by a priest Where did Jesus, eat the Passover?” Matthew 26:17 he was the Priest and he was the lamb witch had to be eaten John 6:53 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. (other then that is Heresy) .

Christ’s exemplary life is certainly to our ultimate benefit-no doubt! But the point about his last one word utterance which we tend to know as three syllables in the English translation (“it is finished!”) actually means something more akin to “settled!” as it is an Aramaic term of an accounting nature! Christ’s last utterance was, not so much that He was done with the agony of His ordeal but rather that “the debt has been settled!” the account having been fully settled! It is important to know that Christ’s sufferings were fully accomplished on the cross, as He Himself said, “Tetelestai!” while yet on the cross! He would subsequently make a journey through what is translated as either hell, or Sheol, Hades-which is referred to as His Harrowing of Hell. It is important to realize that the KJV translation of 1611 used hell with no associated pejorative (“negative”) connotation as of the time. It was simply in reference to the realm of the dead. Christ went there and preached to the souls there and brought back a trail of them, as shown in Psalm 68:18 and elsewhere. There remains much to be desired in terms of the translations, but we will discuss that some other time. What is important is Christ’s journey through hell/Sheol/Hades was as Christus Victor having vanquished death itself and not as part of His sufferings on behalf of mankind, which is what Calvinists erroneously are taught to believe. They mistakenly believe that Christ’s sport was separated from the body while still in the cross and symbolically made that journey through the torment of “hell” as part of His sufferings; yet, nothing could be more unbiblical and erroneous! Calvin misconstrued the most important aspect relating to Christ’s death and victory March through the realm of the dead and we must reject such false teachings of Calvinism for not only that reason, but also other erroneous teachings, such as Double Predestination, which is diametrically opposed to the nature of God! Please conduct some research into the errors of Calvinism and seek out a more biblically sound Church!
