I'm a dad on a budget with a family. Yours is the first channel I've watched (and it's been years of dreaming, planning, wishing, failing, etc.) where this stuff seems well thought out and reasonable. I can't renovate a bus for my family, or fabricate a trailer, but I have a pop up and you're giving so many realistic ideas. Thanks bro!

Is it passable to plug two 12v compresser refrigerators with only one dc receptacle?
@upstateoutsideАй бұрын
That is a great question, I’m sure it’s not recommended by the manufacturer. But in my head, just with very basic knowledge of how electrical circuits work, it seems like it would be possible with an adapter of sorts. A quick Amazon search I found this amzn.to/4e20gHZ which seems like it would do the trick. I’m not sure if there is a max load on the circut for the cigarette outlet if your fridges pull a lot of wattage. Im sorry this doesn’t answer your question!

What kind of table is that connected to camper? Where to get one?
@upstateoutsideАй бұрын
This table seems to be very popular in my videos! It’s a Thule table, I was fortunate enough that it came with the camper from the previous owner. I have searched and have not been able to find it forsale in the US. I do it see for sale in Australia and it’s possible it can be shipped to the US. We absolutely love it. I’ll post a link of it for you. Thanks for watching! aussietraveller.com.au/products/thule-smart-rv-table-chairs

Exactly how I use my AC200P with the B230 battery. But just bought this one also. Couldn’t pass it for $448 shipped. But being in south Louisiana. Mine got to supply the fridge/freezer and a AC. To hot to be outside out here. So normally with the Freezer/fridge I also have the Ecoflow wave 2 AC pulling from it. Aside from later in the night some type of led light or two. But with it I tote out 4 of the 200watt panels. To try and get anything from the sun i can back. Because without the AC. Ain’t no way it’s so hot and humid. One would die from heatstroke. Or drowning. A lot more set up work than if it were nicer weather. I also bought 3 moving blankets. That gets tossed over the top of the tent. That I pop some holes into the blankets. To be able to attach the rain fly clips. As a half ass way to somewhat insulate it. So it gets used like that late late in the year. But I rather go when I got less of a demand of power. When it’s cool enough not to need and AC. If anything it’s easier to need heat and power a diesel heater. Since they take barely anything for juice.
@upstateoutside2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! That is a phenomenal price and I wouldn’t have passed on it either. It’s a great sized unit and is very portable compared the the AC200, which we have as well to power a larger cooler of ours. The perk of living in the south is you get ample solar potential, but the downside is your using a lot more power to cool things down because of the heat! So I completely get it, props to you for being able to camp outside in that heat! you’re more brave than we are. It does get hot in NY in the peak of the summer. But our hottest day is like a cool afternoon compared to down there! Haha. It sounds like you have a great set up, happy camping!

Great cooking, great family trip! What happened with your NEMO shelter?
@upstateoutside3 ай бұрын
Thank you!! Every trip is a little different for us and we take a lot of things into consideration (weather, expected bugs, rain, size of the site). So sometimes we do the Nemo, sometimes we do a small tarp, sometimes a mega tarp. All depends. Also depends on the length of the trip too. For really short trips we don’t bother because it’s one less thing to break down. It’s still #1 in our book and was absolutely perfect for our trip to cranberry lake which we made a vlog for as well! The only downside is if we break down on a rainy day is we have to set it back up when we get home to dry out but we are used to that (because we set up pop up when we get home too! Haha) thanks for watching
