@@northernfound Yes actually the oldest finds for me when I lived in the area was on the old farms. Brantford is really old,but unsure where their old dumps were. The city should have records of old landfill sites though. I'll see what I can find out for you. Thanks for your reply Frank and best regards !

My packsack and bag were already too heavy so I took the two with the caps on them. LOL 😆 I'm giving one of them, to a former digging partner of mine,who had triple bypass done and can't get out digging this year. Thanks for checking out the roundup Kevin. @@northernfound Yes I believe that there will be. Just hard digging under all of the tree roots. There's also piles of broken glass a couple feet high. Perhaps there will be some intact under the pile.

I used to live in the South Western region of Ontario years ago and the soil was sand as well. I found many ACL products in perfect shape. It's so easy to dig in as well. The file possibility is a ice block ice saver and breaker to brake chunks off the blokes in the ice house you would hit it with a wood mallet on the long edge and the pointy pice would break the chunks and the hook part would save the ice like a hook blade The other is a Handel possibly to a ice saw but definitely a saw handle

Yes, would certainly be a dream! Haven’t found a spot yet where the ACL’s aren’t mostly degraded. Love the Huronia as it’s not too far from where I grew up in Orillia.
