And I think I have problems with the mechanical gearbox, when I start from zero it smells burnt and the gears are lost when I'm in one. as if the box was disconnected for a few seconds. Have you had any similar problems after reprogramming? my box is manual 6

*Q: I have a bmw f20 116i from 2017 with 245000km. Still going strong. When it's cold outside eg winter or rainy and ONLY when I'm driving in reverse I can spot some white exhaust gases. There is no coolant leaks visible and no sludge in engine oil. I've to topoff coolant on a regular basis like every week 1/2 ltr. What could be wrong??

The m140 is more a daily preferable car. For trackdays the m240i is much more like it. Also has 50/50 weight. Pretty solid driving though 👍

hi, each time in your videos you talk about the oil temperature by showing the P3 gauge but did you know that the temperature displayed by the P3 gauges is the coolant temp recovered with the obd2 and not the oil temp?

Hi, I have just bought a 118i on a 62 plate, 65,000 miles on it, 3 owners, full service history, HPI clear, the car was going to cheap to pass up, after doing some research on these cars, and watching a few of your videos, it’s seems to be the same problems that occur, oil and coolant leaks and obviously some bad problems, anyway took a chance on it and it looks like the only oil that’s leaking is from the turbo oil supply pipe? Lot of people are put off these engines, me also at 1st! but a lot of the time it’s a cheap easy fix, like o rings for a couple of pounds sorted a few leaks, there is still nice ones of these about that have been looked after and not abused, great little cars I think if you look after them.
