EVERYBODY recommends doing the belt CLOCKWISE, your decision to do it counter is why you were panting so hard. You didn't need to wear yourself out to make this video.

But the whole point was the exercise! For that matter I could have rented an e-bike in town and not worked at all... We always ride it counterclockwise specifically as it is more work!

Attended the National one time as a kid with my dad. We drove from SW OK to Denver. Was my first trip to Denver and I was expecting it to be much colder than it was. Oh well, better to have the warm clothes and not need it. It was a great trip.

It was a trip of a lifetime for us and something completely different from what you experience on a ‘regular’ cruise ship. Would highly recommend it if you get the chance!

Around how much did you pay for each shore excursion? And did you purchase through the cruise ship or independently?

We booked our shore excursions onboard through the cruise ship and they ran from $75-110 per person. We could have booked them once ashore but the advantage of booking through the cruise line is that if you are late getting back to the ship on one of their excursions the ship will wait for you before departing. If you do your own thing and are late getting back you may be stuck on the pier watching the cruise ship leave without you. We've seen that happen and then you have to arrange your own transportation to the next stop to get back on board.

OMG I had a washie person singing those songs when I was on the Breakaway last year. Everyone was like we'll never get those songs out of out heads. I guess it's fleet wide. Going on the Sky next May by the way, great video.

Yes it is the star clipper. Royal Clipper is much bigger. Going next month again on the Royal Clipper

It appears to me that this ship is the Star Clipper not the Royal Clipper.

It's the Royal Clipper... the Star has four masts and the Royal has five. Completely different rigs! Both are beautiful ships and I hope to someday sail on the Star as well!

The shore excursions are offered through the ship. With the recent earthquake in Morocco not sure what will be offered but its still a beautiful country…

You’re in for a real treat! I’d suggest scopamine patches if you are at all prone to motion sickness as the Clipper pitches and rolls more than a regular cruise ship. Obviously that depends on sea conditions… My wife suggests elastic pants for the Clipper 5, 10, or 15 depending on how long you’ll be on board! Other than that, enjoy the heck out of it as its a special ship and a wonderful crew. I’d be curious to hear what you think when you get back!

Thanks Rod! It’s tough to find that much interesting to film given its still the doldrums of a cold snowy Winter here. Was driving by a neighborhood park when I saw these guys playing in the wind and was attracted by their colorful sails against the expanse of white snow… Stay warm!
