It looks like this was recorded a long time ago. Does anyone know if this is still accurate? Thanks!

Hi Steve, S4Hana, which is the latest version of SAP, still uses the same business practices as shown in this video. Only difference that could exist is if you are using Fiori as your user interface. Using Fiori is not very common practice for the Maintenance module. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

One thing I notice in this video, you not mention that where will the operator enter the meter reading?
@vladtapia8 ай бұрын
Thank you for your insightful observation, @mr.techguy6738! You've brought up an important point about the process of entering meter readings, which is crucial in managing counter-based maintenance plans in SAP PM. Meter readings are entered through the SAP transaction IK11, which is used for entering measurement readings for a measurement point. After setting up a counter and creating a maintenance plan linked to that counter, as shown in the video, operators would use IK11 to enter new meter readings periodically. These readings update the counter's value, which then triggers maintenance activities based on the thresholds set in the maintenance plan. To enter a meter reading: Go to transaction IK11. Enter the Measurement Point (created during the counter setup) or the Document Date, and then input the new reading value. Save the entry, which updates the counter status and influences the scheduling of maintenance tasks linked to that counter. Your question highlights a key step in the workflow that ensures the maintenance plan remains dynamic and responsive to actual equipment usage. We appreciate your attention to detail and hope this clarifies where and how meter readings are entered in the SAP PM system. For more tips and detailed instructions, stay tuned to our channel!

Very good video and easy to understand. How do I obtain SAP PM certification as Technician?
@vladtapia8 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words, @cardinaldom574! We're glad you found the video helpful and easy to understand. Obtaining an SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) certification as a Technician involves a few key steps: Learn the Basics: Before diving into certification, ensure you have a solid understanding of SAP PM fundamentals. This might involve self-study, online courses, or formal training provided by SAP or its authorized training partners. Choose the Right Certification: SAP offers various certification levels and paths. For a technician focusing on SAP PM, the "SAP Certified Application Associate - Plant Maintenance with SAP ERP" could be a suitable choice. It's essential to choose the certification that best aligns with your professional goals and experience level. Training and Preparation: Enroll in an official SAP training course. SAP Education or authorized training partners offer courses specifically designed to prepare candidates for certification exams. These courses can be in-person or online. Register for the Exam: Once you feel prepared, you can register for the certification exam through the SAP Training website. The exam is proctored and can be taken online or at an authorized testing center. Study Resources: Utilize study materials provided by SAP, including training manuals, online resources, and practice tests. Engaging in forums and discussion groups can also provide insights and tips from those who have already gone through the process. Take the Exam: Prepare thoroughly and take the certification exam. It usually consists of multiple-choice questions covering the SAP PM module's key concepts, functionalities, and best practices. Continuous Learning: SAP PM is continually evolving, so staying updated with the latest SAP releases and enhancements is crucial even after certification. For more detailed information, visit the official SAP Training and Certification website. It provides comprehensive guides, including eligibility criteria, exam details, and registration procedures. Best of luck with your SAP PM certification journey! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
