To all the snowflakes, it's called surviving in the wild. That same hawk chick would be doing the same thing to another smaller animal except he/she became a meal for the eagles. Also, unless you're 100% vegetarian, don't forget how that steak, lamp chop, pork chop, fried chicken etc got on your plate.

The sparrow came and checked out the action and, seeing that they were busy, went home and came back with some popcorn to take in the whole show. 🍿

What surprises me, is that all the effort that goes into mounting a camera, filming it, then an edit - how come nothing can be attempted to save the chicks? Sorry - there's too much of this, nature is nature, but capitalizing in order to obtain views, just to be paid by KZbin, is not ethical in my opinion. I have never seen the world so greedy. Get a real job. Cheers.

Why don't you go save it you moped without wheels. This happens more times in a day than you can count. For over 100 millions of years this has happened. You should stop eating fish, eggs, meat or all other animal by products you hypocrite.

Hunting needs to be banned. These eagles should be prevented from hunting hawks.

Justice for the mice. If they're the once that have been eaten no one will feel empathy.

Owls seem to frequently attack eagles while they sleep. Burr it’s cold there poor eagle mom is shivering. What a damn way to wake up . That owl is relentless

Why viewer discretion? When did humans become too weak to see this?
I always thought hyenas and wild dogs are the cruelest to the animals they eat alive but I think these birds of prey take the cake when it comes to the cruelty level of eating their prey alive

Another undesirable feature in nature wherein the human situation, no matter how cruel, isn't altogether out of joint, like what happened to Job. God keeps on explaining to him the majesty and intricate complexities in nature and that Job's bad situation is not exempt. This is something to ponder about, that our pains and the mysteries of our excruciating experience is still beneath the eye of Omnipotence, and that nothing happens without His notice, not even the fall of the little sparrows.

Dont forget Hawks also do the same to other birds and animals, they also eat them alive.

I love these videos because they dispel the bullshit notion of a "all loving mono-gawd". Evolution/natural selection is real. But, just because we know it's the truth does NOT mean that society or nature SHOULD be this way. Evolution/natural selection is blind, but humans are not. Nature is disgusting and wasteful, that's why it took 3.7 billion years for a species to arrive that can actually think and understand nature. Evolution isn't about making things "better", anyone who thinks that obviously doesn't understand anything about evolution. Only that which survives its environment, which in itself is arbitrary and chaotic. We are the only species that can stick out our middle finger to blind and dumb nature and say "fuck you, we don't need to be slaves to blind nature, WE are better and we can change things the way we wish". As long as we don't annihilate ourselves because of some subhuman religion or subhuman ideology (they are one and the same), we have the ability to change everything.

I have noticed that some predators manage to consume their prey in such a way to preserve its life for the longest possible time. It’s like they work their way through the body so as to preserve life-essential organs until last. Start with abdomen and work to heart or brain. I’ve seen Komodo dragons do this as well. It’s awful to watch. I guess they want their food to stay as fresh as possible. Otherwise, I see no reason they do it this way. Of course, in this instance we are talking about inexperienced predators, but I’ve seen adult birds of prey do this too. You’d think they’d want to dispatch the animal as soon as possible to minimize injury upon themselves.
