I want to also say that these so called nice condos in PH needed cleaning, painting and others things. And unfurnished. Pretty disgusting actually. Tiny tiny places for $600. My place in Danang is a big one bedroom, furnished very very nicely, about 900 sf. Maid service 2x a week, a pool on the roof and literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. $450 a month.

My most common phrase when in PH is, "this is stupid." I worked on getting a condo in Iloilo. I had agents telling me one price and not telling me the fees until I practically forced them into telling me. Dishonest. Having to wait 2-3 hours for the person with the key to arrive. They tell you all is very quiet, then you go and see there are ten people in the place next door. There was a rooster in the breeze way at one place. His crow echoed loudly, but I was told very peaceful and quiet. My hotel was nice. Of course it's not PH if the electricity doesn't go off once a week. And I'll never understand why the government doesn't make poverty a number one issue. Instead, I moved to Danang, Vietnam. 100% improvement over PH. So, while Filipinos speak English and that would make my life easier, I'm learning Vietnamese instead. Of course Vietnam isn't perfect but definitely 100% improvement.
