I love this game. In the middle of the search for a mine, I had a fight against a giant, goblins and in the end a dragon. In the end, my team was dead and I had a difficult battle, but I did it. Very good game, all encounters feel natural, nothing forced.

I enjoyed the main story. Like the first game it was just a series of excuses to go to a bunch of cool/noteworthy spots on the map. It was a pretty decent quest chain, and the reveal of the unmoored world is in all honesty a better reveal imo than the post game world of DD:DA. That being said, a sprawling endgame dungeon like Everfall, and a boss like Ur-Dragon would've really solidified the end game of DD2 as better than the first. As it is now, I enjoy it a lot but feel hungry for more. Hopefully we get some good DLC and a bigger endgame with a true dungeon. Not sure how they'll make it challenging, especially with ricochet hunter tuned the way it is. But time will tell. lol

@@6xXx_Jack_xXx9 the thing is i finished the story by mistake, I did not know the main quests I was doing led to the ending and i missed a lot of content. The game is better when you do not stick to the story and actually go have adventures. Also the main story is really underwhelming

@@arciusrage8930 Ouch, that sucks. My philosophy in games like this is to do main story until I'm pretty sure the world has fully opened (IE: getting to Vermund), and then ignoring the main story like a clingy ex. Gray rock that shit. I didn't even do a lot of the side quests. My favorite thing about games like this is making my own story. Exploring, making my way to places that are waaaay over my character's pay grade as early as I can. That's how I found the Greatsword in Elden Ring before I found Margit.

@@doppiodiavolo3983 I mean the point of entry for the DLC. There is no Everfall in DD2 so I'm a bit curious if the dlc will only be accessible in the Unmoored world (Kind of like how FromSoft gates off certain DLCs to later game progression), or if they'll make it accessible very early like DD:DA. They might add a dlc to Unmoored and a new expansion elsewhere. Who knows at this point. I just hope the game gets lots of new content. And new vocations, like how Nioh's DLC adds weapon types. I want DD2 to be as amazing as it deserves to be.

I was so traumatized for my ogre fights in DD:DA that I actually ran from my first ogre fight in DD2 ;D I also ran from the first Minotaur and Griffiin fight because the Griffin joined in on the Minotaur fight right after the ogre fight? XD I didn't realize, at the time, that camping sets weren't consumed after a single use and I didn't have a ton of gold, so I was being cheap. Later, I learned that you only consumed them if you lost them to an ambush, ahahahahahah! So, yeah, after leaving Melve I ran from quite a few boss fights until I was able to rest up in Vernsworth.
@JMWeaver
@JMWeaver 5 ай бұрын
It took me about 15 hours before I camped because I believed they'd be consumed. I feel your pain. lol I tried to tackle just about every boss monster on first encounter, which are my 'First X' videos. This is the exception because I remember the Drake from Devilfire Grove in DD1 will wreck your shit if you're under level. Turns out in DD2 you can muddle through a lot of encounters so long as you bring some damage to the table. Equipment, like DD1, is king. But DD2 is flat out an easier game, and DD1 wasn't exactly Dark Souls by a long shot. These vids are staggered uploads, I'm a level 51 Sorc/Magick Archer now who's about to try Mystic Spearhand finally, and dragons are super easy already. Frosthunter bolt is cracked. ... We'll talk about Augural Flare. lmao

Thanks, but it's kind of a bad match up imo. Thief would be a cinch. Archer. Even Fighter would be very easy. Soon I'll be uploading myself killing one with Seism as a sorc, and it's about as hard as a Saurian. Magick Archer also has the ice cube of doom which I've got to try on them. Warrior is great at a lot of things but precision hits all over a target's body aren't one. I'm sure plenty of Warrior mains could run circles around my poor level of play with the vocation, though.

I had the same reaction my first playthrough… I had to fight one EVENTUALLY for the first run, but now, I’m nearing level 60 and on my third run. -True Ending was epic by the way Now. It’s easier to fight Drakes. GRANTED, the pawns help significantly with battles. Be weary, fellow Arisen!! Should you be in a situation where you’re without Pawns, Pray, keep your wits about you… as you will be reminded very quickly that YOU can still be killed… no matter your weapon or stats. I crossed a Cyclopean Bridge safely, but before my pawns could cross, they and the Cyclops fell into a river, where the Brine took them away from my party. I took two steps, as there was naught to be done for them and immediately got drop kicked by a damned Ogre/Giant whatever you wanna call them. The battle dragged on for awhile before I eventually bested him, but he really made me use up all of my curatives. I won in the end, but a thrilling battle between man and beast. Or… Beastren and… Beast I should say… I like this game.
