@theodorrand2 ай бұрын
@achimmuller50752 ай бұрын
@theodorrand2 ай бұрын
@@achimmuller5075 Was heißt temporäre E-Mail?

Fantastic...BUT it looks like the only part of this edit in sync is the last 3 seconds. It's utterly baffling trying to figure out what is going on not just here but in other footage from this era. How did the meticulously sequenced TD end up with such obviously random filming & editing?

Any chance to hear something from Force Majeure is a real treat. The rest is nice but...Force Majeure is TD's best album which curiously, included neither Baumann or Schmoelling, who I regard as icons of the era. It was the unexpected "bridge" between the more popular ages they were progressing into. It still moves me to this day.

I was always impressed by their seamless transitions from one song to the next one. I bought my first record (Tangram) in 1980 and have been a fan since then. In my opinion the Froese, Franke, Schmoelling era was their by far strongest time.
@theodorrand5 ай бұрын
Yes, Johannes Schmoelling brought a lot of new impulses and musical ideas with him, which also changed TD's music in a very positive way compared to the seventies. The year 1980 was particularly strong in my eyes. With the concert in the then “Palast der Republik”, the film music “Thief” and the 1980 fall tour, there were some very strong pieces. I mean improvised long versions of Silver Scale, Choronzon, Calymba Caly, Kiev Mission, Undulation and Force Majeure with The Price and so on were played. Even before the release of the LP “Exit” in 1981, not to mention the many film scores. The three of them, Franke, Froese and Schmoelling, were probably the best Tangerine Dream line-up. But I also liked the music of the short period Franke, Froese and Haslinger and the accompanying European and US tour in 1986.

The story behind how Tangerine Dream came to score this film and how they managed to record it in basically no time is one of the most hilarious chapters of Edgar Froese's autobiography "Force Majeure"

Yes, I'm a certainly a fan (specifically of their 70's material), but.... As for the parts of 'Exit': This is not live, it sounds exactly the same as the album. Regarding the other parts: precorded.
@theodorrand6 ай бұрын
I realized some time after I uploaded the video that the music is different from what was actually played that day. But my video shows what it was like at the concert at the end of August 1981. That means how Froese, Franke and Schmoelling played or pretended to play on stage. I only know that Mike Steiner filmed this event but only the 2nd half of the concert was published. You can see it here. Steiner probably used sound recordings of TD from the studio when editing the video material and not from the concert. That is why the picture and music are not in sync. The video is called THE ALPHA BABOON - CONCERT IN FOUR CYCLES produced by Steiner/Froese. If you know more about the video, please write it in the comments. Thank you.

Ever since he was banished, the creature blindly wondered if the dark twigs of the forest, the speckled sunlight guiding him on his way, he engulfed every sunburn in his shimmering throat as if he had never tasted nor seen such beauty. For even with dirty feet, torn by wandering brambles and a halo of hair that has now turned into a mane, he has found his belief in the setting sun. Eventually, however, this journey came to an end. Not distinct, but with one breath, the blind man knew that the immortal world he had known for all his many years had drifted away from his mortal body. The swamp men and their gem-decorated trees echoing in the breeze, the ethereal handmaids of the earth singing seductive melodies, every bird song he was accustomed to had ceased. He had finally gone to the next world. It was dark in here, and it smelled of the wet and shady valley 🧙♂🧞♂
